ROUNDUP: Smith’s double-double rallies Warrior girls past Mountain Lions

Mylasia Smith had 14 points and 10 rebounds, including nine points in the fourth quarter, to help Western’s girls basketball team rally for a 49-46 win over visiting Sierra Vista on Friday.

Brittany Moreland added 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Jocelyn Jordan supplied 11 points and five steals for the Warriors, who trailed 35-30 after three quarters.

Melia Tadytin scored 27 points to lead Sierra Vista.

Pahrump Valley 43, Clark 27 — At Clark, E’Laisha Ramirez scored 18 points to lead the Trojans by the Chargers.

Kayla Skilling added 15 points for Pahrump.

Bobbi Floyd paced Clark with eight points.

Spring Valley 53, Bonanza 44 — At Spring Valley, Jessica Stevens scored 17 points to lead the Grizzlies past the Bengals.

Shauna Patterson had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Ayanna Davison had seven points and 10 rebounds for Spring Valley.

Tanganika Hunt scored 11 points to lead Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 84, Durango 29 — At Gorman, Ashlin Gross and Zhane Dikes each scored 15 points to help the Gaels roll past the Trailblazers.

April Rivers added 12 points, and Yassemeen Sadullah scored 11 for Gorman, which led 49-18 at halftime.

LeeAnn Burton led Durango with seven points.

Legacy 58, Faith Lutheran 43 — At Legacy, Mayisha Marlowe scored 21 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, as the Longhorns outscored the Crusaders 29-14 in the final period to pull away for the win.

Julia Benko scored 14 points, Sam Leonard had 12 points and Kelsey McCourt added 10 points to lead Faith Lutheran.  

Cheyenne 50, Cimarron-Memorial 34 — At Cimarron, Kayla Armstrong had 14 points to help the Desert Shields pull away from the Spartans.

Lajuane Brown added 13 points for Cheyenne, which kept a modest lead until putting the game away in the fourth quarter.

Kiana Carter led Cimarron with nine points.

Centennial 62, Arbor View 19 — At Centennial, Shelby Valentine recorded 13 points and 11 steals, and the Bulldogs grabbed a 41-9 halftime lead on their way to a rout of the Aggies.

Tamera Williams had 15 points for Centennial.

Ria Louch led Arbor View with five points.

Palo Verde 56, Mojave 12 — At Palo Verde, Jasmin Kiley had 23 points and the Panthers rolled past the Rattlers.

Mikayla Diers added 14 points for Palo Verde, which led 20-3 after the first quarter.

Teaira Shorter led Mojave with eight points.

Rancho 38, Moapa Valley 30 — At Overton, the Rams held the Pirates to three points in the second half to come away with the win.

LaKissa Martin had 19 points to lead Rancho.

Ashley Noto and Hannah Leavitt each scored nine for Moapa Valley, which was 0-for-17 on 3-pointers in the second half.

Boulder City 66, Shadow Ridge 34 — At Shadow Ridge, Karlee Koopman had 16 points, and the Eagles raced to a 34-13 halftime lead before cruising past the Mustangs.

Mallory Bird added 12 points, and Whitney Barlow scored 10 for Boulder City.

Sabriya Brooks led Shadow Ridge with 11 points.

Virgin Valley 56, Lake Mead 20 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnard had 15 points, and the Bulldogs grabbed a 32-11 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Eagles in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Kourtney Metzger added 11 points for Virgin Valley.

Taylor Badua-Kono led Lake Mead with 13 points.

Pahranagat Valley 45, Del Sol 11 — At Mesquite, Halie Lewis had 13 points to help the Panthers cruise to a victory over the Dragons in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Bailee Hosier added 11 points, and Kimberly Lewis scored 10 for Pahranagat Valley, which held Del Sol to four field goals.

Aquinas (Calif.) 43, Lincoln County 37 — At Mesquite, Corinna Smith scored 13 points, and Aquinas used a 15-4 second-quarter spurt to top the Lynx in the Lady Bulldog Invitational.

Tia Florence had 12 points for Lincoln County.
