Gray, Aggies win Battle of the Bulls

Arbor View’s Herman Gray rushed for 312 yards on 19 carries, helping the Aggies pull away for a 35-14 road win over Legacy in the Battle of the Bulls on Friday.
Leading just 14-7 at the half, No. 2 Arbor View (6-0) stuck to its ground attack. Five plays into the third quarter, Gray burst through a wide-open lane for a 53-yard touchdown. After Arbor View forced a turnover on downs, Gray went 56 yards for a score on the Aggies’ next play. After a punt, Gray found the end zone from 40 yards out, putting the Aggies up 35-7 near the end of the third quarter.
The Aggies rushed for 373 yards, 227 in the second half.
Legacy (2-4) cut a 14-0 lead in half when DeMichael Walker raced 90 yards to the end zone, and the Longhorns threatened to tie the game by going 11 plays in seven minutes, but a Noah Noce interception in the end zone kept the Aggies in front. Walker finished with 142 yards and two touchdowns, completing Legacy’s scoring with a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Tanoa Alapati completed 14 of 31 passes for 129 yards for Legacy.
