Hayes helps Jaguars top Miners

Desert Pines' Leon Hayes rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns to help the Jaguars (3-5, 3-3 Northeast) to a 32-6 home win over Sunrise Mountain (0-8, 0-6) on Friday.

Travis Nofoa passed for 135 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown to Thomas Hooper. Seven Desert Pines players made receptions.

The Miners’ Chris Moore threw for 94 yards and a touchdown, but sat out the second half with an injury.

Charles Manning made four catches for 90 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown, and Tyree Mays rushed for 58 yards on 13 carries.
