Hosier tosses six TD passes as Panthers rout Thunderbirds

Pahranagat Valley’s Cody Hosier tossed six touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead the Panthers (7-0, 3-0 1A Southern) to 58-7 road victory over Indian Springs (4-2, 2-1) on Friday.

Hosier completed 11 of 14 passes for 329 yards and ran for 96 yards.

Kale Leavitt caught seven passes for 227 yards, including touchdowns of 16, 57, 16 and 86 yards.

“Our kids were really looking forward to this game,” Pahranagat Valley coach Ken Higbee said. “We really took pride as a team in helping Cody to the night he had. Our offensive line really dominated.”

Hosier also found Tyler Higbee for a 36-yard touchdown and Chase Hansen on a 37-yard strike. Tyler Higbee added a 34-yard TD run.

Adam Reinke rushed 24 times for 148 yards and the Thunderbirds’ lone score, an 8-yard TD run in the second quarter.
