Sundevils coast past Miners

Eldorado's Justin Brown and Wilber Claros returned fumbles for touchdowns, and the Sundevils (3-2, 2-1 Northeast) coasted to a 58-28 road victory over Sunrise Mountain (0-5, 0-3) on Friday night.

Brown’s return, in the opening minute, was 27 yards and Claros’ was 26.

Eldorado scored twice in the final 41 seconds of the first half on a 5-yard run by Cesar Urruitia and a 40-yard pass from JaQuorrey Williams to Giovanni Latty.

Urruitia rushed for touchdowns of 1 and 5 yards, and Brett VanOrden caught TD passes from Williams of 3 and 65 yards. Williams completed 6 of 14 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns.

Chynna Hartmann was 7-for-7 on extra points and kicked a 29-yard field goal for Eldorado.

Damon Burton led Sunrise Mountain with 104 yards on 22 carries, including a 17-yard score.
