GOLF: Bozner, Aggies claim Northwest match

Ethan Bozner took medalist honors with a 3-under-par 69 at Highland Falls on Tuesday and helped Arbor View’s boys golf team to victory in a Northwest League match.

Van Thomas and Sam Dickey each added a 71 for the Aggies, who had a team score of 370. Centennial was second at 427, followed by Desert Oasis at 448.

Desert Oasis’ Syouta Wakisaka shot 76.

Cougars top Faith Lutheran

At Anthem, Grant McKay earned medalist honors with a 2-under 34 to help Coronado to a 193-205 win over Faith Lutheran.

Jordan Hodges added a 38 for the Cougars.

Dallas Haun shot 37, and Charlie Magruder added a 38 for the Crusaders.

Coronado shot a second-day 19-over 307 for a two-day total of 27-over 603 to win the Class 5A boys state golf championship at Coyote Springs Golf Club in Moapa Valley.

Las Vegas High rolls to Class 4A boys golf title

The Las Vegas High boys golf team won the Class 4A championship by 54 strokes over runner-up Centennial. Doral Academy’s Bradley Bourn took the individual crown.
