ROUNDUP: Morang helps Boulder City to Southern League meet win
Boulder City’s Bree Morang earned medalist honors Thursday with a 9-over-par 80 at Falcon Ridge in Mesquite to help Boulder City’s girls golf team win a Class 3A Southern League meet.
Boulder City had a team score of 342. Virgin Valley was second at 378, followed by Moapa Valley at 463.
The Eagles’ Indiana Mead carded an 82. Virgin Valley’s Merlin John was third with an 87.
Gorman breezes to Southwest victory
At Canyon Gate, JoJo Tice earned medalist honors with a 5-over 77 as Bishop Gorman blitzed to victory in a Southwest League meet.
The Gaels had a team score of 319. Pahrump Valley was second with 410, one stroke better than Desert Oasis.
Desert Oasis' Darlene Raymond shot 79. Gorman's Allie Arguello carded an 80.
