Outlook: The Pioneers bring back seven starters from a team that finished second in the Northeast League and advanced to the Sunrise Region quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champion Eldorado.
“The Pioneers will look to build on their playoff run from last season,” Myers said. “The team is very experienced with 12 seniors on the roster.
“The team will rely on communication and speed to attack, and Ruano is a solid keeper. Canyon Springs will look to make a deep playoff run, and hopefully make a challenge for the Northeast League title.”
