Outlook: The Longhorns qualified for the playoffs last year and nearly knocked off eventual Sunset Region champion Palo Verde in the opening round.
“This year, the Longhorns are working hard to not fall short from going to state,” Cobian said. “The unity and chemistry of this year’s team is great. Our goal is state. More than half of our starters are coming back, and with the combination of last year’s strong junior varsity team, we should have a great season.”
