BOYS SOCCER: Cougars snap Sundevils’ 24-match winning streak with tie

Jalen Randolph’s second-half goal Tuesday allowed Coronado’s boys soccer team to earn a 1-1 tie with visiting Eldorado.

Marlon Vidales scored in the first half for the Sundevils, who had a 24-match winning streak halted. Eldorado tied Liberty, 3-3 on Sept. 30, 2013, the last time the Sundevils weren’t victorious in a match.

Eldorado ran its unbeaten streak to 34 matches (31-0-3), dating back to the end of the 2012 season.

Bishop Gorman 1, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Slade Weber headed in Justin Rasmussen’s free kick in the final minute to allow the Gaels to tie the Longhorns.

Matthew Beasley converted a first-half penalty kick for Legacy.

Faith Lutheran 2, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Chase Carey’s goal with six minutes to play lifted the Crusaders by the Trojans.

Logan Buckley converted a first-half penalty kick for Faith Lutheran.

Aaron Alcarez converted a second-half penalty kick for Pahrump.

Del Sol 2, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Omar Garcia and Diego Nieves each had a goal to lead the Dragons by the Pirates.

Edgar Gazal was in goal for the shutout.

Tech 3, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Francisco Garcia had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners edged the Jaguars.

Andres Santana and Joel Velazquez also scored for Tech.

Sunrise Mountain 4, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Jose Arreola scored twice as the Miners topped the Cowboys.

Enrique Pedraza and Rafael Jimenez-Vazquez also scored for Sunrise Mountain.

Omar Miranda scored for Chaparral.

Green Valley 5, Basic 2 — At Green Valley, Austin Quirt scored two second-half goals to lift the Gators by the Wolves.

Jeffrey Mullins had a goal and two assists, and teammates Nathan Hanuscin and Khalil Landers each scored for Green Valley, which got two assists from Maliq Cooper.

Ismael Carranza and Francisco Navarrete scored for Basic.

Virgin Valley 6, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Moises Medina had three goals and two assists, and teammate Efren Rodriguez added two goals and an assist to power the Bulldogs past the Eagles.

Gabe Medina provided a goal and two assists, and Ricky Trujillo also scored for Virgin Valley.

Alex Krausman scored for Boulder City.

Foothill 8, Rancho 3 — At Rancho, Jackson Dietrich had three goals and three assists to lead the Falcons by the Rams.

Robert Cowan added two goals and an assist, and Aaryn Corneos and Mason Reid each had a goal and an assist for Foothill, which also got a goal from Trent Milne.

Victor Gomez, Arturo Gutierrez and Robert Mina-Olivera scored for Rancho.

Palo Verde 7, Durango 0 — At Palo Verde, Nolan Sherwood had three goals and three assists to help the Panthers to the easy win over the Trailblazers.

Jordan Mashal added three goals and two assists for Palo Verde, which also got a goal from Presten Manthey.

Nishesh Yadav made four saves to get the shutout.
