BOYS SOCCER: Donate’s goal helps Pioneers win Northeast crown

Edgar Donate's goal with 12 minutes left in the match broke a 2-2 tie and allowed Canyon Springs' boys soccer team to clinch the Northeast League title with a 3-2 win at Las Vegas High on Thursday.

Donate scored twice for the Pioneers, who rallied from a 2-1 deficit early in the second half.

Juan Covarrubias also scored for Canyon Springs.

Silverado 2, Liberty 2 — At Silverado, Jesse Dominguez scored two unassisted second-half goals to rally the Skyhawks from a 2-0 halftime deficit and earn a tie with the Patriots.

Dominguez's first came on a penalty kick midway through the half. He scored the tying goal with 10 minutes left.

Colton Cox and Joey Hollimon scored for Liberty.

Clark 4, Spring Valley 1 — At Clark, Ivan Lopez scored twice to help the Chargers top the Grizzlies.

Raul Sanchez added a goal and an assist, and Oscar Mata scored for Clark.

Jose Lopez scored for Spring Valley.

Centennial 1, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Centennial, Ahmed Green scored 15 minutes into the second half to allow the Bulldogs to tie the Spartans.

Arturo Bahena scored in the first half for Cimarron.

Arbor View 1, Bonanza 0 — At Arbor View, Dalton Rice scored a first-half goal off an assist from Niko Dongmann, and the Aggies held off the Bengals.

Gabe Sano made four saves and recorded the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 5, Pahrump Valley 3 — At Pahrump, Harut Khachoyan had two goals and two assists, and the Crusaders scored twice in the second half to pull away from the Trojans.

Conner Frame and Logan Buckley each had a goal and an assist, and teammate Jack Mathes also scored for Faith Lutheran.

Arturo Morales, Kevin Pereira and Alex Ramirez each scored for Pahrump.

Desert Oasis 2, Cheyenne 1 — At Desert Oasis, Diego Hidalgo scored a goal midway through the second half off an assist from Alec Kuklish to lift the Diamondbacks by the Desert Shields.

Kuklish also scored on a penalty kick for Desert Oasis.

Felix Ellqvist scored for Cheyenne.

Mojave 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Mojave, Antonio Perez scored a goal, and the Rattlers benefitted from an own goal to down the Mountain Lions.

Kebba Jobe scored for Sierra Vista.
