BOYS SOCCER: Ginsburg helps Warriors to perfect mark in Sunset League

David Ginsburg scored two goals Tuesday to help Western's boys soccer team complete a perfect Sunset League season with a 4-0 win at Faith Lutheran.

Ricardo Gonzalez and Franklin Martinez each scored a goal for Western.

Jose Anaya made three saves and earned the shutout for the Warriors.

Spring Valley 3, Mojave 2 — At Spring Valley, David Van Hoose tallied two goals and an assist to lead the Grizzlies past the Rattlers.

Ethan Orme added a goal for Spring Valley, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Antonio Perez scored both goals for Mojave.

Centennial 1, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, Alec Kuklish scored early in the second half to allow the Diamondbacks to tie the Bulldogs.

Jacob Mecham scored in the first half for Centennial.

Cheyenne 2, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Cheyenne, Josey Zapata had a goal and an assist as the Desert Shields downed the Trojans.

Christian Soalke also scored for Cheyenne.

Joshua Hernandez made six saves to earn the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 4, Arbor View 0 — At Cimarron, Ernan Hernandez scored three first-half goals as the Spartans clinched the Northwest League title by downing the Aggies.

Miguel Rubio also scored, and Richard Crews made four saves, including one on a penalty kick, to earn the shutout for Cimarron.

Las Vegas 5, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Elias Torres scored twice to help the Wildcats top the Patriots.

Luis Garcia had a goal and two assists and, Randy Casas added a goal and an assist for Las Vegas, which also got a goal from Noe Osorio.

Chris Sosa made three saves to earn the shutout.

Canyon Springs 5, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Edgar Donate and Ramon Urias-Medina each had two goals and an assist to lead the Pioneers by the Mountain Lions.

Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez had a goal and an assist for Canyon Springs.

Jesus Gonzalez scored for Sierra Vista.

Silverado 3, Valley 2 — At Valley, the Skyhawks overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit to nip the Vikings.
