BOYS SOCCER: Lopez’s big second half lifts Grizzlies by Mountain Lions

Jose Lopez had three goals and two assists in the second half Monday to help Spring Valley's boys soccer team to a 5-2 win at Sierra Vista.

David Van Hoose and Ethan Orme each added a goal and an assist for the Grizzlies, who trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Keba Jobbe and Giovanni D'Ascenzo scored for the Mountain Lions.

Sunrise Mountain 1, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Musio Jimenez-Vazquez scored in the third minute of the match on an assist from Ivan Enciso, and the Miners held on to top the Spartans.

Adrian Zacarias made three saves to get the shutout.

Valley 1, Tech 0 — At Heritage Park, Anthony Marquez headed in a free kick from Jonathan Cerda in the 30th minute to push the Vikings past the Roadrunners.

Jesus Enriquez recorded the shutout in goal for Valley.

Green Valley 2, Durango 2 — At Durango, Braydon Lopez scored two second-half goals, including the tying goal with seven minutes left, as the Gators and Trailblazers played to a draw.

Anthony Sotelo and Jamie Munguia scored for Durango, which led 2-0 at the half.

Bishop Gorman 3, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Jeffrey Wright had two goals as the Gaels edged the Patriots.

Justin Rasmussen also scored for Gorman.

Joey Hollimon had a goal and an assist, and Osias Dixon also scored for Liberty.

Desert Oasis 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Diego Hidalgo scored twice to lead the Diamondbacks by the Skyhawks.

Christian Diaz also scored for Desert Oasis.

Jesse Dominguez converted a penalty kick for Silverado.

Coronado 3, Arbor View 1 — At Coronado, Preston Judd scored two goals to lead the Cougars over the Aggies.

John Lynam also scored for Coronado.

Dalton Rice scored for Arbor View.

Legacy 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Legacy, Matthew Beasley, Cesar Cisneros and Oscar Gonzalez each scored a first-half goal as the Longhorns downed the Desert Shields.

Mojave 4, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Mojave, Antonio Perez scored twice to lead the Rattlers by the Crusaders.

Eduardo Luna-Ruiz and Gabriel Sanchez-Gonazles also scored for Mojave.

Western 6, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Ricardo Gonzalez scored twice as the Warriors blanked the Trojans.
