BOYS SOCCER: Ponce, Bengals edge visiting Aggies

Manuel Ponce’s first-half goal Thursday allowed Bonanza’s boys soccer team to wrap up second place in the Northwest League with a 1-0 win over visiting Arbor View.

Jose Perez made three saves to record the shutout for the Bengals.

Clark 1, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Oscar Mata’s first-half goal was enough for the Chargers to edge the Grizzlies.

Ramon Ramirez made three saves en route to the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Centennial 2 — At Cimarron, Eduardo Renteria, Danny Ceja and Garrick Quackenbush each scored once as the Spartans held off the Bulldogs.

Ahmed Green and Phillip Hopper scored for Centennial.

Liberty 4, Silverado 2 — At Liberty, Adam Musovski scored three goals to lead the Patriots by the Skyhawks.

Manuel Maldonado also scored for Liberty.

Manny Jahuey scored twice for Silverado.

Cheyenne 4, Adelson School 2 — At Cheyenne, Geovanni Pizano scored twice as the Desert Shields downed the Lions.

Eric Cervantes and Guerros Benevides each had a goal, and John Ramos added two assists for Cheyenne.

Nevo Ziv had a goal and an assist, and Ariel Ovadia also scored for Adelson School.

Canyon Springs 2, Las Vegas 0 — At Canyon Springs, Luis Macias scored twice, and the Pioneers blanked the Wildcats.

Raymond Ruano made two saves to earn the shutout.

Mojave 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Saul Godoy scored twice to lead the Rattlers by the Mountain Lions.

Antonio Perez also scored, and Eduardo Luna had two assists for Mojave.

Henry Hernandez made four saves to earn the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 5, Pahrump Valley 3 — At Faith Lutheran, Phil Starcher had two goals, and Harut Khachoyan tallied a goal and an assist as the Crusaders rallied to top the Trojans.

Connor Frame and Logan Buckley each had a goal for Faith Lutheran, which trailed 2-1 at halftime.

Adrian Maldonado scored twice, and Jose Nunez had a goal for Pahrump, which got two assists from Aaron Alcarez.
