BOYS SOCCER: Quackenbush breaks tie, Spartans edge Warriors

Garrick Quackenbush’s goal off a corner kick just five minutes into the second half Wednesday broke a tie and allowed Cimarron-Memorial’s boys soccer team to defeat visiting Western, 2-1.

Nico DeLaTorre scored a first-half goal for the Spartans.

Bruno Aleman scored for the Warriors.

Durango 5, Spring Valley 4 — At Spring Valley, Sammy Temesgen had two goals and an assist, and Oscar Rodriguez scored twice as the Trailblazers came back to edge the Grizzlies.

Giovanni Rodriguez scored a goal for Durango, which trailed 3-2 at halftime.

Tyson Perkins scored three goals, and Sergio Borboa tallied a goal and three assists for Spring Valley.

Virgin Valley 4, Mojave 4 — At Mojave, Moises Medina had two goals and an assist to help the Bulldogs earn a tie with the Rattlers.

Gabe Medina had a goal and an assist, and Raphael DeSantiago also scored for Virgin Valley.

Cristopher Pulido scored twice, and Antonio Perez added a goal and two assists for Mojave, which also got a goal from Saul Godoy.

Desert Oasis 2, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Ivan Biorato scored twice as the Diamondbacks blanked the Dragons.

Damien Herrera earned the shutout for Desert Oasis.

Centennial 5, Rancho 3 — At Rancho, the Bulldogs scored twice in the second half to break a 3-3 tie and down the Rams.

Miguel Raygoza, Adrian Martinez, Logan Bodnar, Jesus Vargas and Phillip Hopper each scored once for Centennial.

Victor Gomez, Yosmar Villafana and Rigoberto Dorado scored for Rancho.

Coronado 6, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Justin Lyons scored five goals to lift the Cougars by the Aggies.

Alex Taylor also scored for Coronado.

Parker Boyd scored for Arbor View.

Foothill 12, Silverado 1 — At Foothill, Robby Cowan had five goals and an assist as the Falcons routed the Skyhawks.

Jackson Dietrich added three goals and two assists, and Parker Erickson and Aaryn Corneos each had a goal and an assist for Foothill.

Michael Carnahan and Ammon Okasaki also scored for the Falcons.

Chris Stang scored for Silverado.
