ROUNDUP: Ballard has hand in both goals as Western blanks Clark

Joshua Ballard converted a penalty kick and assisted on Jair Perez’s goal Wednesday as Western’s boys soccer team blanked visiting Clark, 2-0.

Jose Bautista and Reynaldo Velazquez combined on the shutout for the Warriors.

Spring Valley 5, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Seth McGinn tallied three goals, and Vince Leon and Ricky Gonzalez added a goal apiece as the Grizzlies blitzed the Trojans.

Eddie Gomez notched the shutout for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 9, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Shane Thompson scored three goals, and Michael Gray added two goals and an assist as the Gaels routed the Diamondbacks.

Michael Tonetti scored twice, and Ramak Roohani and Max Anderson each supplied a goal and an assist for Gorman.

Keegan Flanigan made two saves en route to recording the shutout.

Bonanza 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Sierra Vista, Kevin Fuentes and Sondra Herstad each scored a second-half goal to rally the Bengals from a 1-0 deficit.

Robert Sagel assisted on both goals for Bonanza.

Stefan Stefanovic tallied the Mountain Lions’ first-half goal.

Legacy 2, Centennial 1 — At Centennial, Luis Chaidez’s goal midway through the second half allowed the Longhorns to nip the Bulldogs.

Saul Aguirre also scored for Legacy.

Eric Christiansen tallied Centennial’s goal.

Cheyenne 1, Mojave 1 — At Cheyenne, Benjamin Soto’s second-half marker allowed the Rattlers to tie the Desert Shields.

Eduardo Santamaria scored for Cheyenne.

Cimarron-Memorial 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Juan Gutierrez’s goal with 15 minutes remaining lifted the Mustangs into a tie with the Spartans.

Kevin Romero notched Cimarron’s goal.

Palo Verde 8, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Kellog-Zahre Park, Matt Polster scored three goals, and Ryan Kleiner added two goals as the Panthers blanked the Crusaders.

Matej Kustura, Alexander Shackley and Zach Ward also scored for Palo Verde.

Colton McCann made six saves to earn the shutout.

Boulder City 4, Durango 1 — At Boulder City, Trevor Montgomery and Peter Stanjordet each tallied a goal and an assist to help the Eagles beat the Trailblazers.

Daniel Andrade and Ryan Warshefski added a goal apiece for Boulder City.

Paris Estrada scored Durango’s goal.

Virgin Valley 13, Adelson School 0 — At Mesquite, William Lara tallied three goals and three assists, Danny Medina had three goals and two assists, and Jaime Macias added three goals and an assist as the Bulldogs thumped the Lions.

Tony Villalobos supplied two goals, and Ramon Cortez and Marco Aguilar contributed a goal apiece for Virgin Valley.

Julio Medina was in goal for the shutout.
