ROUNDUP: Tonetti, Gorman clinch Southwest title with win over Clark

Mike Tonetti tallied two goals, and Rian McEvoy supplied two assists Tuesday as Bishop Gorman’s boys soccer team wrapped up the Southwest League title with a 4-1 win over visiting Clark.

Blake Balelo and Trace Doehrmann each added a goal for the Gaels, who have a four-point lead over second-place Sierra Vista with one match remaining.

Heyelom Weldealase scored Clark’s lone goal.

Durango 6, Bonanza 1 — At Durango, Ryan Benavente had two goals and an assist, and Erick Perez added two goals as the Trailblazers cruised past the Bengals.

Wasajja Wals and Francisco Diaz each scored a goal for Durango.

Adonis Oldenburg converted a penalty kick for Bonanza.

Centennial 7, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Chance Rosa scored three goals, and Cobi Hunt and Blake Frischknecht each added a goal and an assist to help the Bulldogs rout the Desert Shields.

Sean Jenne and Miguel Nieto also scored for Centennial.

Aidan Parker was in goal for the shutout.

Mojave 5, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Faustino Ramirez had two goals and two assists, and the Rattlers did all of their scoring in the second half on their way to a win over the Mustangs.

Juan Ramirez added two goals and an assist, and Noe Garcia also scored for Mojave.

Gulmaro Falcon earned the shutout for the Rattlers.

Legacy 0, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Legacy’s Ramon Carvajal posted an eight-save shutout, and Palo Verde’s Josh Dinsmore made 10 saves as the Longhorns and Panthers battled to a scoreless draw.

Pahrump Valley 3, Desert Oasis 2 — At Desert Oasis, Bryce Moser scored two goals to lead the Trojans past the Diamondbacks.

Hiram Castro also netted a goal for Pahrump.

Angel Camacho and Uriel Gamboa scored for Desert Oasis.

Spring Valley 1, Western 0 — At Spring Valley, Tyson Perkins’ first-half goal stood up as the Grizzlies nipped the Warriors.

Antonio Velasquez made six saves to earn the shutout for Spring Valley.

Faith Lutheran 4, Arbor View 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Sam Stevens and D’Khari Hicks each recorded two goals and an assist as the Crusaders downed the Aggies.

Josh Hahn and Garrett Rader scored for Arbor View.

Virgin Valley 4, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Danny Medina notched two goals as the Bulldogs clinched the top seed for the Class 3A Southern League playoffs by downing the Pirates.

William Lara and Juan Ulloa also scored for Virgin Valley, which got two assists from Gabe Medina.

Miguel Martinez made six saves en route to the shutout.

Boulder City 2, The Meadows 2 — At Boulder City, Corin Galati scored two goals in the final 20 minutes as the Mustangs rallied to tie the Eagles.

Troy Hamilton scored twice for Boulder City.
