GIRLS SOCCER: Snook, Hernandez lead Longhorns’ comeback

Brittany Snook and Nadia Hernandez each scored two goals Monday to help Legacy’s girls soccer team storm back from a 3-1 halftime deficit to top host Desert Oasis, 5-3.

Avianna Urquidez added a goal for the Longhorns.

Cienah Reed had a goal and an assist for Desert Oasis. Gabriella Nevinger and Miah Strellnauer also scored for the Diamondbacks.

Faith Lutheran 1, Clark 0 — At Clark, Megan Donnelly scored eight minutes into the second half to lift the Crusaders over the Chargers.

Beka Lescenski had the shutout for Faith Lutheran.

Durango 2, Bonanza 1 — At Bonanza, Alyssa Nunez scored two first-half goals, and the Trailblazers held on to edge the Bengals.

Angelica Hathaway scored a second-half goal for Bonanza.

Green Valley 4, Centennial 2 — At Green Valley, Alexis Kirson scored twice to lead the Gators past the Bulldogs.

Lianna Soifua and Talia Lopez each added a goal for Green Valley.

McKenna Stratton and Victoria Cera scored for Centennial.

Eldorado 2, Silverado 0 — At Eldorado, Cristal Mendoza had a goal and an assist to lead the Sundevils by the Skyhawks.

Madison Granger also scored for Eldorado.

Alyana Castillo made four saves en route to the shutout.

Pahrump Valley 2, Spring Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Vaniah Vitto and Sydney Dennis each scored once to lift the Trojans by the Grizzlies.

Jessica Friesz made two saves en route to the shutout.

Cimarron-Memorial 6, Valley 4 — At Cimarron, Jaymee Luke scored four goals to lead the Spartans by the Vikings.

Natasha Martin and Kaylen Dodson also scored for Cimarron.

Lillian Godinez and Paige Tarr each had two goals for Valley.

Basic 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Basic, Darby Cox scored twice as the Wolves topped the Pioneers.

Erika Church also scored for Basic.

Monica Camargo scored for Canyon Springs.

Sierra Vista 6, Cheyenne 3 — At Cheyenne, Sophia Omidiji scored five goals as the Mountain Lions defeated the Desert Shields.

Morgan O’Neal also scored for Sierra Vista, which got two assists from Angelina Iniguez.

Jocelyn Pena, Stephanie Chinchilla and Amairani Gomez each had a goal for Cheyenne.

Western 5, Mojave 1 — At Western, Ellyson Reynada had two goals and an assist to lead the Warriors over Mojave.

Citalic Resendiz, Myrhiam Garica and Kirsten Molina also scored for Western.

Cynthia Marquez scored for Mojave.

Arbor View 5, Liberty 0 — At Arbor View, Katelyn Laurente had two goals and an assist as the Aggies downed the Patriots.

Melanie Ara, Isabella Oliva and Deja Erikson each added a goal and an assist for Arbor View.

Lauren Shoughro made two saves to earn the shutout for the Aggies.

Shadow Ridge 7, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Taylor Grant scored three goals to lead the Mustangs by the Rams.

Stephanie Nava had a goal and an assist, and Casey Childers, Allie Ortega and Danika Shupe also scored for Shadow Ridge.

Faith White converted a penalty kick for Rancho.

Coronado 7, Palo Verde 1 — At Coronado, Michaela Morris had three goals and two assists as the Cougars routed the Panthers.

Taylor Kornieck added a goal and four assists for the Cougars, who also got goals from Taylor Houston, Kassaundra Eason and Ashley Thomas.

Mackenzie Nogues scored for Palo Verde.

Foothill 7, Las Vegas 0 — At Foothill, Katherine Ballou had two goals and two assists to help the Falcons defeat the Wildcats.

Rachel Neff and Rae Burrell each added two goals, and Allison Stubberud scored once for Foothill.

Goalkeeper Marisa Milne made two saves to get the shutout.

Bob Chinn led the Faith Lutheran girls soccer team to a 23-0-1 record and the school’s first Class 4A state title in any sport to earn Coach of the Year honors.
