ROUNDUP: Bernal’s four goals power Clark girls past Durango

Azucena Bernal scored four goals Monday to lead Clark’s girls soccer team to a 4-1 home win over Durango.

Bernal scored in the seventh, 17th, 34th and 47th minutes for the Chargers, whose only assist came from Ana Ratigan.

Karly Herbert scored in the second half for Durango.

Legacy 2, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Legacy, Celia Myers scored the winning goal on an assist from Ashley Engelke with 20 minutes to help the Longhorns edge the Spartans.

Myers also scored a first-half goal on an assist from Natasha Rodriguez.

Brooke D’Onofrio had Cimarron’s goal.

Palo Verde 2, Cheyenne 1 — At Palo Verde, Kainoa Becker scored the match-winning goal in the 68th minute to lead the Panthers past the Desert Shields.

Alyssa Kleiner scored in the first half for Palo Verde.

Brittney Thalman notched a goal for Cheyenne. 

Bishop Gorman 4, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Haley Wingender had two goals and an assist as the Gaels blanked the Mountain Lions.

Amanda Kaufman and Dena Kaufman each added a goal for Gorman.

Goalkeepers Kaylee Vitale and Sam Higgins combined on the shutout.

Bonanza 4, Desert Oasis 2 — At Bonanza, Bree Hammel scored twice to lead the Bengals past the Diamondbacks.

Brittany Donaldson and Kalyn Goffney added a goal apiece for Bonanza, which led 1-0 at halftime and took a 3-0 second-half lead.

Bonanza’s Lorena Magana had two assists, and Goffney and Lety Ibarra each had an assist.

Samantha Burneo and Ericka Phanthip each scored a goal for Desert Oasis. Lynsey Hutchins notched an assist for the Diamondbacks.

Arbor View 8, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Arbor View, Falon Miller scored four goals to lead the Aggies in a rout of the Mustangs.

Tara LeBaron tallied a goal and two assists, Bianca Norman had a goal and an assist, and Gabby DeLeon and McKenzie Karas each added a goal for Arbor View. 

Alex Luevano-Harden recorded the shutout for the Aggies.

Centennial 8, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, Bethanie Skelton had three goals and an assist as the Bulldogs routed the Rattlers.

Jordyn Rolling added two goals and two assists for the Bulldogs, who got two goals from Faith Johannes and one goal from Becca Espinoza. Debbie McLaughlin had two assists.

Natalie Gilbertson made one save and recorded a shutout.
