SOCCER: O’Neal sends Sierra Vista girls past Warriors

Morgan O’Neal scored three goals Friday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls soccer team to a 4-0 home win over Western.

Sophia Omidiji had a goal and an assist, and Angelina Iniguez added two assists for the Mountain Lions.

Jasmine Morice made four saves en route to the shutout.

Clark 1, Cheyenne 0 — At Clark, Darian Gambetta’s goal midway through the second half lifted the Chargers by the Desert Shields.

Eyker Millan made three saves to earn the shutout for Clark.

Pahrump Valley 2, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Sydney Dennis and Brittany Klenzcar each scored a first-half goal as the Trojans topped the Rattlers.

Jessica Friesz and Terryn Thomas combined for the shutout.

Centennial 6, Canyon Springs 0 — At Centennial, McKenna Stratton had three goals and an assist as the Bulldogs topped the Pioneers.

Victoria Cera added a goal and an assist, and Ashley Marshall and Ashton Benson also scored for Centennial, which got two assists from Cienna Mendez.

Addison Riddle and Marshall combined on the shutout.

BOYS

Mojave 2, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Cristopher Pulido scored two second-half goals to rally the Rattlers by the Trojans.

Antonio Perez had two assists for Mojave.

Alex Ramirez scored a first-half goal for Pahrump.

Western 5, Sierra Vista 1 — At Western, Martin Vasquez scored two goals to lead the Warriors past the Mountain Lions.

Eduardo Arellano, Ricardo Gonzalez, Ramon Perez also scored for Western, which got two assists from Nathaniel Reyes.

Zekarias Kassaye scored for Sierra Vista.

Clark at Cheyenne — The Clark at Cheyenne match was postponed due to a potential biohazard substance discovered Friday afternoon at Cheyenne. The game has not yet been rescheduled.
