Angela Santillanes doubled home Sanoe Helenihi in the bottom of the seventh Monday to lift Basic’s softball team to a 7-6 home win over Rancho.
Jason Sharman singled home Zac Czerniawski with two outs on the top of the 10th to give the Desert Oasis baseball team a 7-6 road win over Bishop Gorman on Thursday.
C.J. Dornak allowed an unearned run on three hits in 6⅓ innings on Wednesday as Basic’s baseball team edged visiting Liberty, 2-1.
Durango pitcher Madison Boyce tossed a complete game and supplied two hits and two RBIs as the Trailblazers’ softball team claimed an 8-5 road victory at Bonanza on Wednesday.
Emma Breslin won two individual events Saturday at Pavilion to lead Bishop Gorman’s girls swimming team to a 156-140 win over Arbor View.
Brandon Nellis swam the 50 freestyle in 22.27 seconds to help Coronado’s swim team to a 176-136 winover Foothill at Heritage on Saturday.
Skylar Shannon and Samantha Difulvio each won two individual events Saturday to help Clark’s girls swimming team to a 166-128 win over Faith Lutheran at Pavilion.
Morgan Matsumoto drove in three runs, and Jocelyn Shupp went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to help the Foothill’s softball team to a 13-11 road win over Silverado on Thursday evening.
Nikita Nazarov won two events on Saturday to lead Sierra Vista’s boys swimming team to a 133-101 win over Cheyenne at Pavilion.
James Delaney pinch hit in the seventh inning with Sierra Vista down a run, and hit a two-out, two-run double to help the Mountain Lions’ baseball team score three in the seventh and out-slug host Durango, 17-16 on Wednesday.

Basic’s baseball team has been forced to forfeit all of its league games for using ineligible players, the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association confirmed.
Former Bishop Gorman standout Rome Odunze was selected ninth by the Chicago Bears, and former Liberty athlete Troy Fautanu went 20th overall to the Steelers.
Bishop Gorman announced Wednesday that its baseball team was forfeiting games over paperwork related to the eligibility of a transfer student.
