FLAG FOOTBALL: Luke’s late TD gives Spartans win over Bengals

Jaymee Luke ran in the winning score from 3 yards out with just more than a minute remaining Monday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s flag football team to a 36-32 win at Bonanza.

Cimarron stopped Bonanza on fourth down inside the Spartan 5-yard line to set up the game-winning drive.

Luke rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries and threw a touchdown pass to DeShan Cambrit for the Spartans.

Cheyenne Crouch led Bonanza with touchdown runs of 2, 5 and 20 yards. Brianna Hernandez ran for a score and tossed a touchdown pass to Brittney Calhoun for the Bengals.

Desert Oasis 7, Clark 6 — At Clark, Kylee Bauer’s 19-yard touchdown pass to Sydni Aldan helped the Diamondbacks nip the Chargers.

Sonia Vazquez ran for a TD for Clark.

Boulder City 19, Liberty 0 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell rushed for two touchdowns and completed a touchdown pass to Jollene Gosselin as the Eagles blanked the Patriots.

Carmell rushed for 92 yards on 12 carries and completed 14 of 26 passes for 196 yards.

Jane Nevarez had nine receptions for 112 yards for Boulder City.

Basic 19, Del Sol 0 — At Basic, Nicole Mullins caught a TD pass and rushed for a score to help the Wolves defeat the Dragons.

Katie Frost threw two TD passes for Basic, which did all of its scoring in the first half.

Kim Austin caught the other touchdown pass for the Wolves.

Eldorado 34, Chaparral 6 — At Chaparral, Angela Stoneback caught three touchdown passes as the Sundevils routed the Cowboys.

Shelby Johnson rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for Eldorado.

Virgin Valley 19, Western 18 — At Western, the Bulldogs edged the Warriors.

Larrisa Herrera ran for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Alejandra Alvarez for Western. Kassidy Pahia also threw a TD pass to Alvarez for the Warriors.

Legacy 44, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Shardell Purdy tossed four touchdown passes as the Longhorns routed the Rattlers.

Purdy completed 11 of 14 passes for 148 yards.

Klarisah Harris caught three passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 76 yards and two scores for Legacy, which also got a rushing touchdown from Avi’Ana Shelton and receiving TDs from Tierra Watson and Hannah Maher.
