Roundup: Arbor View tops Green Valley in title game

Kaylea Patridge went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead Arbor View’s softball team to a 5-4 win over Green Valley in the championship game of the Mountain Lion/Blazer Classic at Sierra Vista.

Taylor Day was 3-for-4 with two runs, and Roxanne Ines went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Aggies.

Hannah Mearideth went 2-for-3 with two runs for the Gators, who scored twice in the top of the seventh to pull within a run. Olivia McClain was 2-for-4 with a run for Green Valley.

Green Valley 12, Durango 1 — At Sierra Vista, Olivia McClain was 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI, and Hannah Mearideth went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI to help the Gators beat the Trailblazers in a semifinal.

Katrina Ramos was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, and Abigail Cordova drove in three runs for Green Valley.

Cordova also went the distance, allowing five hits and striking out four, to get the win.

Arbor View 8, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, Hannah Hickstein went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two runs to help the Aggies beat the Mountain Lions in a semifinal.

Irelyn Richards tripled for Arbor View, which scored seven runs in the fifth.

Hola Rosalia Nakayama doubled for Sierra Vista, which had just two hits.

Sierra Vista 14, Durango 6 — At Sierra Vista, Ryan Watkins went 3-for-4 with a triple, a run and four RBIs to help the Mountain Lions beat the Trailblazers.

Mia Buranamontri was 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and an RBI, and Nakayama went 3-for-3 with four runs and two RBIs for Sierra Vista.

Trinity Valentine was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs for Durango.

Legacy 18, Las Vegas 14 — At Durango, Clarissa Lona was 4-for-5 with three doubles, four RBIs and three runs as the Longhorns scored 10 runs in the seventh inning to beat the Wildcats.

Angel Ortiz was 4-for-6 with a double and four runs for Legacy.

Kaitlyn Horstdaniel and Melina Fabian each homered for the Wildcats, and Skylar Gorrell had a double and a triple.

Nicole Forrest doubled twice for Las Vegas.

Legacy 24, John Muir (Calif.) 9 — At Durango, Ortiz had a double, four RBIs and three runs as the Longhorns crushed the Mustangs in four innings.

Dominique Rodriguez and Kayla Smith each doubled for the Longhorns.

Lona scored four times for Legacy, which drew 21 walks.
