ROUNDUP: Big second inning lifts Mountain Lions by Bengals

Kira Felise went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Sierra Vista’s softball team used a nine-run second inning Saturday to defeat visiting Bonanza, 12-8.

Winning pitcher Sierra Martinez went 1-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs, and Maricela Mota was 1-for-4 with a double for the Mountain Lions.

Caitlyn Lloyd went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs for the Bengals.

Liberty 12, Desert Oasis 9 — At Desert Oasis, Kaitlyn Phillips was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBIs to help the Patriots rally from a 9-4 deficit after four innings and top the Diamondbacks.

Tiana Tapuala was 2-for-5 with a double and three runs for Liberty.

Sammantha Caruso was 2-for-5 with a double and two runs, and Mallory Hall went 2-for-5 with two runs for Desert Oasis.

Rancho 10, Eldorado 0 — At Rancho, Brandy Marlett spun a six-inning two-hitter and struck out seven as the Rams blanked the Sundevils.

McKinzi Vega was 2-for-4 with a triple, and Tiara Lee went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Rancho. Aly Lamboo was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Jacey Kelley was 2-for-4 for the Rams.

Madalyn Bonilla went 2-for-3 for Eldorado.
