ROUNDUP: Pico’s no-no helps Legacy cruise past Cheyenne

Sierra Pico tossed a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts and added two hits Friday to help Legacy’s softball team to an 11-0 win at Cheyenne.

Alexis Fuller went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored, and Katrina Rand was 3-for-4 with a double for Legacy.

Alysia Santos homered for the Longhorns.

Palo Verde 5, Arbor View 0 — At Palo Verde, Melissa McCormick tossed a four-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Panthers past the Aggies.

Breanna Beatty went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and an RBI, and Cheryl Iddings was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Palo Verde.

Angel Council was 2-for-4 for Palo Verde.

Shadow Ridge 12, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Sabriya Brooks went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double to help the Mustangs cruise past the Crusaders in five innings.

Danielle Buecker went 2-for-3 with two doubles to help Shadow Ridge, and teammate Jasmine Bouie struck out six while limiting Faith Lutheran to five hits.

Cimarron-Memorial 21, Mojave 1 — At Mojave, Kayla Johnson and Sarah Murphy each went 4-for-5 with three RBIs, and the Spartans built a 16-1 second-inning lead and routed the Rattlers in five innings.

Carli Stafford was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Ashley Doherty had four RBIs for Cimarron, which got two RBIs from Brittany Hoppe.

Alexa Snyder and Stephanie Yacek combined on a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Spartans.

Valley 9, Eldorado 4 — At Valley, winning pitcher Mickayla Romero went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs to lead the Vikings past the Sundevils.

Zoe Galindo was 2-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI, and Jasmine Villamar had two hits and two runs for Valley.

Erica Estrada went 3-for-4 with a run to lead Eldorado.

Chaparral 9, Canyon Springs 8 — At Chaparral, winning pitcher Valerie Talamantez hit a two-run single to highlight a six-run sixth inning as the Cowaboys nipped the Pioneers.

Talamantez finished 4-for-4 with three RBIs.

Sunrise Mountain 25, Desert Pines 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jasmine Jones went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs to help the Miners rout the Jaguars.

Sydni Beuchet and Imani Kroon each went 4-for-4 for Sunrise Mountain, which took over with 13 runs in the first inning.

Silverado 4, Foothill 3 — At Foothill, Taylee Heckman doubled home Riana Splinter with the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning, and tossed a five-hitter with five strikeouts and no walks as the Skyhawks edged the Falcons.

Splinter went 2-for-4 for Silverado.

Lauren Penksa homered, and Pamela Sakuma provided two hits for Foothill.

Basic 17, Tech 1 — At Tech, Lacey Romo tossed a five-inning four-hitter and allowed only an unearned run as the Wolves routed the Roadrunners.

Romo also went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs and teammate Marissa Ross went 4-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.

Jordyn Roark went 2-for-3 for Tech.

Green Valley 10, Liberty 6 — At Green Valley, Chelsea Anderson went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBIs as the Gators slipped past the Patriots.

Daisy Bryant went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Green Valley, which had 14 hits.

Carson Cooper was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Liberty.

Coronado 17, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Katie Cochran belted a grand slam, and Danielle Amato tossed a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Cougars to a rout of the Dragons.

Amato went 3-for-3, and Morgan Yuhas was 2-for-3 with two runs for Coronado.

Boulder City 20-16, Virgin Valley 2-4 — At Boulder City, Karlee Koopman pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts in the first game and a four-hitter with seven strikeouts in the nightcap as the Eagles won a pair of five-inning games.

Boulder City’s Ali Rants went a combined 6-for-8 with four RBIs in the two games, and Taylor McKeever was 3-for-7.

Ariel O’Neill hit a three-run homer in the second game for the Eagles.

Lake Mead 16-19, Laughlin 4-9 — At Lake Mead, Taylor Badua-Kono went 4-for-5 with three home runs in the six-inning nightcap as the Eagles swept a doubleheader from the Cougars.

Badua-Kono finished 3-for-3 in the five-inning opener.

Lynzee Freund earned the win in both games, striking out 18 batters in 11 innings.

Mountain View 4-5, Calvary Chapel 3-11 — At Calvary Chapel, Jamie Schmidt belted a pair of grand slams in the nightcap to help the Lions split a doubleheader with the Saints.

Phallen Nelson went 3-for-4 with three runs, and Emily Truscello was 3-for-3 for Calvary Chapel in the second game.

In the opener, Simone Anderson’s two-run double in the bottom of the seventh plated the go-ahead runs for Mountain View.

Lexi Alley tossed a six-hitter and struck out 13 for the Saints in the first game.
