SOFTBALL: Gators pack on runs late, top the Bulldogs

Samantha Loving went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and three RBIs and tossed a nine-hitter with eight strikeouts to help Green Valley’s softball team to a 9-3 win at Centennial on Tuesday.

Amber Calderon went 4-for-4 with an RBI double for the Gators, who scored seven runs in the last three innings.

Lauren Stroman finished 3-for-3 with a double for the Bulldogs.

Palo Verde 5, Spring Valley 4 — At Spring Valley, Rachael Turner went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs as the Panthers held off the Grizzlies.

Vivian Quiroz-Montano was 2-for-3, and Halee Martinolich had a two-run single for Spring Valley, which trailed 5-0 after three innings.

Shadow Ridge 6, Durango 0 — At Durango, Kate Dennis had a home run, a double and three RBIs to help the Mustangs blank the Trailblazers.

Tana Feiner tossed a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk for Shadow Ridge.

Tori Ray went 2-for-3 with a double for Durango.

Arbor View 13, Sierra Vista 10 — At Arbor View, Dacia Sykes went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBIs, and Kayla Stephens was 4-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs as the Aggies outlasted the Mountain Lions.

Ke’Anna Kamaka was 3-for-4 with a double for Arbor View, which led 8-0 after one inning.

Sunrise Mountain 14, Desert Pines 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Alexus Aragon went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Andrea Garner tossed a two-hitter with seven strikeouts to help the Miners down the Jaguars in five innings.

Jessica Gomez had a two-run single for Sunrise Mountain, which led 13-0 after three innings.

Tech 12, Virgin Valley 9 — At Anthem Hills Park, winning pitcher Gizele Cascos was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to help the Roadrunners top the Bulldogs.

Ashley Ramsey went 3-for-3 with a double for Tech.

Maggie Dobbs was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, and Mikayla Brotherson went 2-for-5 for Virgin Valley.

Boulder City 12, Chaparral 2 — At Boulder City, Charlene Masterson had a double and five RBIs to help propel the Eagles past the Cowboys in six innings.

Summer Smith and Nicole Schulz each supplied two hits for Boulder City, and teammate Mikaela Brown spun a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Rancho 14, Silverado 2 — At Silverado, Jacey Kelley was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs to help the Rams top the Skyhawks in five innings.

Jahnae Davis-Houston was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and McKinzi Vega was 2-for-3 with three runs for Rancho. Tiare Lee went 2-for-4 with three runs for the Rams.

Arieana Monturio was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Silverado.

Las Vegas 14, Canyon Springs 2 — At Las Vegas, Samantha Remer had two doubles and four RBIs to help the Wildcats rout the Pioneers in five innings.

Sabrina Saldate went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Paulina Franco was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Las Vegas, which turned a triple play in the fifth inning.

Pahranagat Valley 19, Mountain View 14 — At Mountain View, Kennedy Huntsman struck out 10 in a four-hitter to help the Panthers outlast the Saints.

Cheyenne Harris was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Panthers.

Mountain View’s Elle Germany had a double.
