GIRLS TENNIS: Sundevils edge Vikings in Sunrise Region opener

Dora Carrillo, Cheyenne Delicate and Melissa Guerrero each went 2-1 in singles Monday to help Eldorado’s girls tennis team to a 10-9 victory over host Valley in the Sunrise Region quarterfinals.
After the teams split their 18 regulation sets, the Sundevils (10-5) won five of six tiebreaker games to eliminate the Vikings (8-5). Eldorado will visit Coronado (10-4) in a semifinal match at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Brooke Harding was 3-0 in singles for Valley.
Coronado 16, Rancho 2 — At Coronado, Lauren Coons and Nikoletta Nikoloff each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Cougars by the Rams (3-8).
Roberta Padalino and Camille Solla were 3-0 in doubles for Coronado.
Liberty 12, Silverado 6 — At Liberty, Payton Burk was 3-0 in singles to help the Patriots (12-1) eliminate the Skyhawks (6-6).
Liberty will visit Green Valley (12-0) in a semifinal at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Green Valley 15, Foothill 3 — At Green Valley, Josie Legarza and Racquel Holder each went 3-0 in singles to help the Gators eliminate the Falcons (6-8).
SUNSET REGION
Bonanza 17, Arbor View 1 — At Bonanza, the Bengals swept the singles sets and eliminated the Aggies (7-5).
Adrienne Millow, Lauren Smith and Emma Nelson each went 3-0 in singles for Bonanza (11-3). Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester were 3-0 in doubles for the Bengals, who either will host Desert Oasis or visit Palo Verde at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Centennial 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, the Bulldogs (7-5) rolled past the Mountain Lions (6-5).
Centennial either will host Shadow Ridge or visit Bishop Gorman in a semifinal at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Desert Oasis 13, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Desert Oasis, Gabriela Bilyeu and Phenix Johnson were 3-0 in doubles to help the Diamondbacks defeat the Spartans in a Southwest League play-in match.
Desert Oasis (4-9) will visit Palo Verde (12-0) in a region quarterfinal match at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Briana Brevard-Mays was 2-1 in singles for the Spartans (4-9).
Shadow Ridge 12, Durango 6 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs (5-6) topped the Trailblazers (6-10) in a Northwest League play-in match. Shadow Ridge will visit Bishop Gorman at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
DIVISION I-A SOUTHERN REGION
The Meadows 18, Tech 0 — At The Meadows, Anuja Daulat was 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs (14-1) swept the Roadrunners (6-7).
Sonia Vohra and Paige Malik were 3-0 in doubles for The Meadows, which will host Clark (9-4) at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Clark 14, Virgin Valley 4 — At Mesquite, Paige Smith and Abbey Escala each went 2-0 in singles as the Chargers built an 11-1 lead after two rounds and eliminated the Bulldogs (10-3).
Faith Lutheran 18, Moapa Valley 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, Kathleen Wright went 3-0 in singles as the Crusaders (15-3) swept the Pirates (8-7).
Talia Graf and Lauren Wright went 3-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran, which either will host Adelson School (6-7) or visit Boulder City (12-0) at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Adelson School 12, Mojave 6 — At Mojave, Sydni Ferber was 3-0 in singles to help the Lions top the Rattlers in a Sunset League play-in match.
Adelson School will visit Boulder City at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Eva Sampson was 2-1 in singles, and Tori Chipman and Blanca Estrada went 2-1 in doubles for Mojave (5-8).
