ROUNDUP: Goldsmith, Houck win twice as Panther girls swim by Sierra Vista

Izzy Goldsmith and Hailey Houck each won two individual events on Tuesday at Pavilion to help Palo Verde’s girls swim team to a 194-89 win over Sierra Vista.

All of Tuesday’s swim scores will not be final until after Friday’s diving competition.

Goldsmith won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 12.41 seconds, and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.22.

Houck was first in the 200 freestyle (2:01.01) and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.75.

Bishop Gorman 218, Bonanza 58 —
At Pavilion, Anne Boodt, Olivia Barker and Marley Maluafiti each won twice to lead the Gaels over the Bengals.

Boodt won the 200 individual medley (2:14.13) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.78), Barker took the 100 freestyle (54.58) and 50 freestyle (25.08), and Maluafiti was first in the 500 freestyle (5:11.19) and 100 butterfly (1:00.49).

Centennial 173, Desert Oasis 112 — At Pavilion, Rachel Gottfredson won the 500 freestyle (6:48.25) and 50 freestyle (27.49) to help the Bulldogs down the Diamondbacks.

Karen Kurosawa won the 200 individual medley (2:27.37) and 100 breaststroke (1:22.11) for Desert Oasis.

Cimarron-Memorial 167, Legacy 92 — At Pavilion, Jadyn Pendleton and Cambridge Guerrero each won twice to lead the Spartans over the Longhorns.

Pendleton won the 200 individual medley (2:36.31) and 100 butterfly (1:11.25), and Guerrero was first in the 100 backstroke (1:04.72) and 500 freestyle (5:46.42).

Coronado 211, Basic 72 — At Municipal, Shyla Swan took the top spot in the 100 backstroke (1:01.11) and the 50 freestyle (26.65) to help the Cougars to an easy win over the Wolves. 

Melanie Harris finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:17.18) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.81) for Basic. 

Foothill 206, Del Sol 36— At Municipal, Elizabeth Marshall took the top spots in the 200 individual medley (2:50.44) and the 100 freestyle (1:06.12) as the Falcons defeated the Dragons. 

Marley Bindrup also placed first in two events for Foothill, winning the 100 butterfly (1:03.13) and the 500 freestyle (5:32.75). 
 
Eldorado 129, Liberty 117 — At Municipal, Emma Winder won the 200 freestyle (2:43.27) to lift the Sundevils over the Patriots.

Kinser Anderson paced Liberty by placing first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 3:22.22.

Boulder City 188, Chaparral 67 — At Heritage, Cori Molisee, Alex Hubel, Megan Purdy and Rachael Grothe each won two individual events as the Eagles defeated the Cowboys.

Molisee dominated in the distance-freestyle events, touching first in the 200 (1:56.84) and 500 (5:15.45). Hubel rolled in the sprints, taking the 50 free (25.06) and the 100 free (54.62).

Purdy won the 200 individual medley in 2:20.21 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.96. Grothe captured the 100 butterfly (59.19) and 100 backstroke (1:03.18).

Rancho 140, Las Vegas 139 — At Heritage, Tonicia Thomas and Patricia Matha each won two events, and the Rams edged the Wildcats.

Thomas was first in the 200 freestyle (2:01.99) and the 200 individual medley in 2:14.15. Matha cruised in the 500 free (5:46.5) and the 100 breaststroke (1:21.76).

April Martinez won the 100 free (58.31) and 100 backstroke (1:04.53) for Las Vegas.

Silverado 210, Valley 74 — At Heritage, Gabriella Graham and Marie Hosono each finished first in two events to lift the Skyhawks over the Vikings.

Graham touched in 2:03.22 to take the 200 freestyle and went 1:05.22 in the 100 backstroke. Hosono won the 100 butterfly (1:05.45) and the 500 free (6:01.67).
