ROUNDUP: Sambvani, Panther girls dash past Arbor View

Julia Sambvani won two events Thursday to lead Palo Verde’s girls track team to an 87-54 home win over Arbor View.

Sambvani won the 200-meter dash in 28.3 seconds and the 400 in 1:04.6.

Arbor View’s Brittney Hoggan won the long jump at 13 feet, 2 inches, and triple jump at 29-8½, and DaQuanda Clay took the shot put at 30-5 and the discus at 98-11.

Grajek helps Bulldogs earn tie for first
At Mesquite, McCall Grajek won four events to help Virgin Valley tie Chaparral in a three-team meet.

The Bulldogs and Cowboys each had 65 points. Sunrise Mountain had 44 points.

Grajek won the 100 hurdles (17.3), 300 hurdles (51.3), long jump (13-10) and triple jump (31-7).

Chaparral’s Linda Luchsinger took the 800 in 2:41.1 and the 1,600 in 5:51.7.

Trio leads Desert Oasis to victory
At Western, Summer Leimberger, Brooke Locey and Taelor Rhodes won two events each to lift Desert Oasis to a 76-22 victory over the Warriors.

Leimberger won the 200 in 27.94 and the 400 in 1:01.82.

Locey took the 1,600 in 5:40.5 and the 3,200 in 12:16.

Rhodes won the 100 hurdles in 20.02 and the high jump at 4-6.

Trammell, Paulo pace Pioneers
At Canyon Springs, Danesha Trammell and Pearl Paulo each won two events to lead the Pioneers (96) over Las Vegas (42) and Calvary Chapel (32).

Trammell won the 100 hurdles (16.2) and 300 hurdles (49.9). Paulo was first in the high jump (4-8) and long jump (15-3).

Mavroudis leads Cougars to win
At Liberty, Morgan Mavroudis won the 400 (1:03.0) and high jump (4-8) to lead Coronado to victory in a three-team meet.

The Cougars finished with 106 points to top Liberty (39½) and Basic (34½).

Liberty’s Dymond Williams won the 100 (13.6) and 200 (27.7), and teammate Ashlie Blake was first in the shot put (47-1) and discus (132-10).
