BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Durkin helps Centennial rally past Green Valley

Tanner Durkin had 19 kills Friday to lead Centennial’s boys volleyball team to a 25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 25-10, 15-13 victory over visiting Green Valley.

Terrell Hicks had eight kills, two aces and six blocks, and teammate Nyjaee Washington had nine kills for the Bulldogs.

Tanner Castro had four kills and two digs for the Gators.

Green Valley’s Zachary Hewitt had 35 assists and five digs, and teammate Tyler Dancel had 16 digs.

Eldorado 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Dakota Shults had 25 kills to lead the Sundevils past the Spartans, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-18.

Dylon Richardson had 42 assists for Eldorado.

Stone Stevenson had nine kills and seven digs to lead Cimarron. Will Baird added 24 assists and five blocks for the Spartans, and teammate Joe Tito had six kills.

Coronado 3, Bonanza 0 — At Coronado, Karriem Beyah had 15 kills, nine digs and three blocks to power the Cougars to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-21 victory over the Bengals.

Samuel Cox added 36 assists, seven digs, two kills and two aces for Coronado, and teammate Matt Johnson added nine kills and three blocks. Gerrard Cole had 14 digs for the Cougars.

Andrew Jensen led Bonanza with 11 kills and eight digs. Bronson Duckworth added seven kills, and Luis Raygoza had 26 assists for the Bengals, who got six kills, five digs and four blocks from Robby Adair.
