Clark wins Longhorn Invitational
Clark’s boys volleyball team swept all five of its matches Saturday and captured the championship of the Longhorn Invitational at Legacy.
The Chargers defeated Rancho, 25-21, 27-26 in what was, in effect, the championship match of the round-robin event. Rancho finished 4-1 in its five matches.
Green Valley placed third at 3-2, followed by the host Longhorns (2-3), Desert Oasis (1-4) and Tech (0-5).
Clark’s George Huang and Peter Park were named to the all-tournament team. They were joined by Rancho’s Kevin Plascencia, Green Valley’s Beau Gronert, Legacy’s Dillan Witecki, Desert Oasis’ Zach Bobenhausen and Tech’s Eddie Lopez.
