ROUNDUP: Verela assists Skyhawks to sweep of Wolves

Silverado’s Indigo Verela logged 32 assists and nine digs to lift Silverado’s boys volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-19, 28-26 sweep of visiting Basic on Monday.

Kyle Devicino had 12 kills for the Skyhawks, and teammate Curtis Hadland tallied 18 digs.

Tanner Humpherys led Basic with nine kills, four digs, four aces and four blocks.

Mark Bowman added five kills and three blocks for the Wolves, who got 21 assists from John Fitz and nine kills from Weston Crum.

Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Centennial, Dane Hunsicker had 11 kills and three aces to help the Bulldogs cruise past the Desert Shields, 25-11, 25-19, 25-14.

Leo Durkin added 20 assists, and Dustin Buell and Tanner Bonds each added four kills for Centennial.

Nathan Pryor led Cheyenne with five kills and four assists. Shaq Wilson added four kills and two blocks for the Desert Shields.

Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Gena Shataev had 16 kills and four aces to lead the Aggies to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-7 sweep of the Rattlers.

Shiloh Pechacek added 23 digs for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Palo Verde, Sean Wilson had 34 assists, and Brandon King added 17 kills and six digs as the Panthers rolled to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-10 sweep of the Spartans.

Jordyn Martin added seven kills and two blocks for Palo Verde.

Tanner Maxwell and Taylor Larsen each had nine assists, with Maxwell adding seven kills for Cimarron. Devin Davis supplied five digs for the Spartans.

Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Justin Kent had 12 digs and eight kills to help the Mustangs roll to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-11 victory over the Longhorns.

Quinn Skouson added five kills and four blocks, and Jalen Makaiwi had 16 assists and three aces for Shadow Ridge.

Erik Valerio dished out 12 assists, and Jeremiah Hall supplied five kills for Legacy.

Green Valley 3, Foothill 0 — At Green Valley, James Byrne had 10 aces and three kills as the Gators downed the Falcons, 25-14, 25-5, 25-17.

Donovan Santos added seven assists and three aces, and Dallas Tueller contributed four kills and two aces for Green Valley.

Del Sol 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Eric Beil put down 13 kills and nine digs to help the Dragons to a 25-18, 25-14, 25-18 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Nick Maglaras had 26 assists and five aces, and Kevin Fitzpatrick supplied seven kills and nine digs for Del Sol.

Alex Prado had 10 digs, and Hector Galvan added eight kills for Tech.

Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Chris Andrulis had 10 kills and four blocks to help the Cougars to a 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 victory over the Patriots.

Jacob Pankey, Austin Moiseyev and Kekoa Giron each added six kills for Coronado.

Daniel Filimona led Liberty with three kills and seven assists.
