ROUNDUP: Weston, Gneiting power Panthers past Centennial

Andrew Weston dished out 42 assists, and Trent Gneiting supplied 26 kills and seven digs Thursday to help Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team to a 23-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-14 win at Centennial.

Jordyn Martin posted 16 kills and 16 digs for the Panthers.

Dustin Buell had nine kills, and Tanner Bonds put down eight kills to lead the Bulldogs.

Legacy 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Legacy, Justin Paquin posted 22 kills and three aces, and teammate Jared Cox added 13 blocks as the Longhorns downed the Desert Shields, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-13.

Tanner Compton added 13 kills and four blocks, and Braden Liu distributed 29 assists for Legacy.

Horatio Tovar-Garcia led Cheyenne with six kills and nine digs. Deonte Perkins supplied five kills and five digs for the Desert Shields.

Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Foothill, Kendall Andrews had 13 kills and seven digs to lead the Falcons to a 25-10, 25-15, 25-9 sweep of the Patriots.

Chansten Chow added eight kills and five blocks, and Caleb Hutchinson supplied six kills and five blocks for Foothill.

Gil Lim had 13 digs, and Kai Nacua supplied five kills and two digs for Liberty.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Taylor Larsen dished out 14 assists to help the Spartans sweep the Aggies, 25-21, 25-13, 27-25.

Kyle Henrikson put down seven kills, and Hayden Newton supplied five kills and five digs for Cimarron.

Chris Heron posted 21 assists, and Darrell Swanson had 11 digs and five kills to lead Arbor View.

Shadow Ridge 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jalen Makaiwi had 16 assists and nine aces as the Mustangs routed the Rattlers, 25-3, 25-9, 25-19.

Brandon Fisher added nine kills for Shadow Ridge.

Christian Limtiaco had four blocks, four digs, two kills and two assists for Mojave, which got six digs from Javan Carrazco.

Basic 3, Del Sol 0 — At Basic, Darin Klein posted 10 assists and seven digs to help the Wolves to a 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 sweep of the Dragons.

Weston Crum tallied seven kills and six digs, and Ryan Williams added six digs for Basic.

Dennis Takahashi dished out 16 assists, and Jesse Brown supplied 18 digs for Del Sol, which got nine kills from Nathan Kirschbaum.

Green Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Jacob Johnson had five kills and three blocks as the Gators posted a 25-13, 25-10, 25-20 sweep of the Roadrunners.

Wesley Reed added eight kills, and Dimitri Santos had seven kills for Green Valley.
