VOLLEYBALL: Bradley, Aggies outlast Panthers in five sets

Darien Bradley had 20 kills and 13 digs on Wednesday to lead Arbor View’s boys volleyball team to a 25-23, 25-16, 26-28, 18-25, 15-7 win at Palo Verde.

Darrell Swanson added 18 kills and 10 digs, and Sam Buckels had 15 kills and six blocks for the Aggies, who got 47 assists from Chris Heron.

Michael Simister led the Panthers with 11 kills and six digs. Brigham Clawson added 10 kills and five digs, and teammate Andrew Weston had 26 assists and four kills for Palo Verde.

Las Vegas 3, Rancho 1 — At Las Vegas, Shayne Marquez supplied 49 assists and nine digs to lead the Wildcats to a 25-15, 25-22, 23-25, 28-26 win over the Rams.

T.J. Esporas supplied 16 kills and 14 digs, and Chris Kampshoff notched 15 kills and eight digs for Las Vegas, which got 11 digs and six kills for Brian Singson.

Aaron Robles dished out 36 assists for Rancho, and teammate Martin Rodriguez had 12 kills and eight digs to lead the Rams.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Durango, Michael Diggins had 17 kills, and Andre Shabazz had 34 assists and five aces to lead the Trailblazers to a 24-26, 25-19, 25-13, 25-18 win over the Grizzlies.

Jaylen Clark had six blocks, and Jimmy Cullors added 11 digs for Durango.

James Nunez paced Spring Valley with 29 assists, eight digs and six blocks. Bradd Robison had nine kills, three digs and two aces, and Troy Lance had six kills and nine blocks for the Grizzlies.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Nathan Makaiwi dished out 23 assists to lead the Mustangs to a 25-22, 25-20, 25-17 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Quinn Peterson supplied 10 kills and six digs, and A.J. Makaiwi had 15 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Julius Sison notched 19 assists and five digs, and Clyde Balagtas had 12 digs and seven kills for Sierra Vista, which got six kills and five digs from Diego Gutierrez.

Valley 3, Silverado 0 — At Valley, Matt Ballaro had 15 kills, seven digs and two aces, and Alex Sandoval added 31 assists and seven digs to help the Vikings sweep the Skyhawks 25-12, 25-22, 25-19.

Jack Heavey tallied eight kills, five blocks and four digs, and Jesse Smith added six kills and four digs for Valley.

Austin Hunt led Silverado with 11 kills and five blocks. Cody Steckel tallied 18 assists, and Travis Houston had eight digs for the Skyhawks.

Green Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Green Valley, Dustin Elliott had 11 kills as the Gators downed the Pioneers, 25-15, 25-13, 25-19.

Ben Lee added three digs, and Eric Medina had two aces and three digs for Green Valley.

Gaspar Gonzalez had two kills for Canyon Springs, which got three digs from Celso Balmes and three assists from Evan Anderson.
