VOLLEYBALL: Stratton, Frischknecht lift Bulldog boys past Skyhawks
Hunter Stratton had 14 kills, and Blake Frischknecht added 10 kills Friday to help Centennial’s boys volleyball team to a 25-19, 25-17, 25-20 win at Silverado.
Chet Durkin dished out 35 assists for the Bulldogs.
Curtis Hadland had 13 kills, and Bryan Skworzec added nine digs for the Skyhawks.
Foothill 2, Canyon Springs 0 — At Legacy, Kendell Andrews had 10 kills and two aces, and Taeg Williams finished with 24 assists and three blocks as the Falcons beat the Pioneers 25-10, 25-18 in pool play at the Longhorn Invitational.
Cory Fisher added six kills for Foothill.
Foothill 2, Arbor View 0 — At Legacy, Kendell Andrews notched nine kills, three aces and two blocks, and Cory Fisher chipped in with eight kills to lead the Falcons to a 25-17, 27-25 victory over the Aggies in pool play at the Longhorn Invitational.
Taeg Williams added 20 assists and two blocks for Foothill.
Foothill 2, Sierra Vista 1 — At Legacy, Kendell Andrews put away 14 kills and added four blocks and two aces, guiding the Falcons to a 25-9, 23-25, 15-9 win over the Mountain Lions in the final match of pool play at the Longhorn Invitational.
Taeg Williams contributed 27 assists, and Caleb Hutchinson finished with six kills for Foothil, which meets Desert Oasis in double-elimination bracket play at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Basic 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Basic, the Wolves won by forfeit.
Cheyenne 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, the Desert Shields won by forfeit.
