Faith Lutheran volleyball tops Palo Verde, finishes third in Catalina Foothills invite

Sydney Washington had 11 kills, and Megan Kronschnabel dished out 25 assists to help Faith Lutheran's girls volleyball team defeat Palo Verde, 25-21, 25-17 in the third-place match of the Catalina Foothills Falcon Invitational on Saturday in Tucson, Ariz.
Logan Van Reken had nine digs for the Crusaders.
Faith Lutheran 2, Palo Verde 1 — Tayah Washington had seven kills, and Bobbi Tharaldson added six kills and three aces as the Crusaders began play Saturday with a 25-10, 23-25, 17-15 win over the Panthers.
Kronschnabel had 30 assists, and Bryanna Neagle added four blocks for Faith Lutheran.
Faith Lutheran 2, Sabino (Ariz.) 0 — Tharaldson had 10 kills to help the Crusaders to a 25-19, 25-19 win over the Sabercats.
Kronschnabel had 30 assists, and Sydney Washington had seven kills for Faith Lutheran.
Salpointe Catholic (Ariz.) 2, Faith Lutheran 0 — The Lancers were 25-14, 25-13 winners over the Crusaders in a quarterfinal match.
