ROUNDUP: Delgado helps Liberty hold off Del Sol
Amanda Delgado piled up 16 kills, 14 assists and 11 digs Thursday as Liberty’s girls volleyball team outlasted visiting Del Sol, 25-14, 14-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-10.
Reid Morgavi added 21 digs, 11 kills and two blocks, and Kapua Akiona supplied 24 assists and eight digs for the Patriots.
Natalie Korgenwoski paced Del Sol with 21 kills and 19 digs, and teammate Angela Johnson contributed 15 kills.
Canyon Springs 3, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Brittany Barkyn had 12 kills, three digs and three aces to help the Pioneers rally past the Rams, 23-25, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 15-9.
Baylee Delgado dished out 15 assists for Canyon Springs, and teammate Elenai Alailima added seven blocks.
Samantha Carino posted nine kills to lead Rancho.
Valley 3, Chaparral 2 — At Valley, Lenore Porter had 26 assists, eight kills, eight assists and three aces to help the Vikings rally past the Cowboys, 25-12, 23-25, 18-25, 25-17, 15-7.
Briana Johnson added 10 kills, eight aces and six digs to help Valley.
JeNiece Morgan put down eight kills, and Carolina Reyes tallied 20 assists to lead Chaparral.
Las Vegas 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Las Vegas, Breanna Melton had 14 kills, 12 digs and five aces to help the Wildcats sweep the Miners, 25-13, 25-21, 25-15.
Marissa Lair added 11 kills for the Wildcats, and teammate Tiffany Jackson contributed 35 assists and nine digs.
Alicia Winchester led Sunrise Mountain with four kills. Tania Amaya added three kills and three aces for the Miners.
Eldorado 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Eldorado, Chelsea Andersen dished out 13 assists as the Sundevils swept the Jaguars, 25-14, 25-14, 25-23.
Chelsea Sallander added six aces, and Candace Watkins put down seven kills for Eldorado.
Heather Hans paced Desert Pines with six aces and two blocks. Jazzmin Avalos added six assists, and Monica Estella supplied six digs for the Jaguars.
Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Green Valley, Carly Schiess had 12 kills, and Emma Johnson added nine kills and three aces to help the Gators cruise past the Wolves, 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.
Caitlyn Brickley helped out with seven kills for Green Valley, and teammate Jenna Swaffer distributed 28 assists.
Kamisha Richardson had 10 kills and four digs to lead Basic. Tara Patchett added seven digs and five kills for the Wolves.
Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Kayla Agae’s 15 kills and five aces helped the Skyhawks to a 25-9, 25-6, 25-11 rout of the Roadrunners.
Marilyn Agae added 15 digs, seven kills and three aces, and Alexis Weber supplied 10 digs and four aces for Silverado.
Coronado 3, Foothill 1 — At Coronado, Katie Gamsky recorded 39 assists, nine digs and five aces as the Cougars topped the Falcons, 25-9, 22-25, 25-20, 25-14.
Kristen Herlosky added 17 kills, 10 digs and two aces, and Kuulei Piena supplied 17 kills, 16 digs and two aces for Coronado.
Rhianna Gelhart paced Foothill with 11 kills. Cheyann Bullard added 11 digs, and Zoe Wolfenbarger contributed six kills and five digs for the Falcons.
