ROUNDUP: Herlosky helps Coronado outlast Bonanza
Kristen Herlosky had 21 kills and 15 digs Thursday to help Coronado’s girls volleyball team hold off visiting Bonanza, 25-9, 25-27, 25-4, 26-28, 15-4.
Kuulei Piena added 15 kills and 13 digs for Coronado, and teammate Katie Gamsky compiled 40 assists and five blocks.
Bree Hammel had 24 digs, 16 kills and two aces for Bonanza, and teammate Lauren Karn logged 21 assists, nine digs and three aces.
Sierra Vista 3, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Morgan Malone had 33 assists and eight blocks, and teammate Allison Herold added nine kills and six aces as the Mountain Lions outlasted the Mustangs, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12.
Brooke Robinson added 15 kills, five blocks and three aces for Sierra Vista.
Rachel Childers had 37 kills and nine digs for Shadow Ridge. Destinee Beavers added 20 digs, 14 kills, and five aces, and Nichely Sosa contributed seven kills for the Mustangs.
Basic 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Wendy Williams had 25 assists, and Tara Patchett added nine kills as the Wolves swept the Trailblazers, 27-25, 25-15, 25-19.
Sarah Tullis dished out 13 assists for Durango. Teammates Kylie Ferri added nine kills and Mariah Fuentes contributed eight digs for the Trailblazers.
Centennial 3, Silverado 1 — At Centennial, Lacy Miyahira supplied 30 assists, 10 digs, five blocks and five kills to help the Bulldogs to a 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-16 win over the Skyhawks.
Alli Tatom added 11 kills, and Ashley Hill chipped in 12 digs and three aces for Centennial.
Kassidy Welte had 15 digs and five kills, and Kaitlin Kelly added 14 kills and nine digs for the Bulldogs.
Boulder City 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Boulder City defeated the Longhorns, 25-16, 25-14, 25-16.
Alexis Fuller had seven digs and two aces for the Longhorns.
Moapa Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Overton, Ashley Noto and Shelbie Gray each racked up seven kills as the Pirates swept the Roadrunners, 25-18, 25-14, 25-23.
Amanda Campbell added four kills for Moapa Valley.
Alyson Hancock had nine assists and three aces, and Sarah Oettinger added five kills for Tech.
Adelson School 3, Trinity 0 — At Adelson School, Allie Baracani had 14 assists to help the Lions beat the Thunder, 25-20, 25-18, 25-13.
Ellie Steinberg added five kills and six aces for Adelson, which got two aces from Morgan Goodleman and five kills from Joanna Falk.
