ROUNDUP: Miyahira leads Centennial in sweep of Palo Verde
Lacy Miyahira registered 26 assists, 10 digs, three kills and three aces Thursday as Centennial’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Palo Verde, 25-19, 25-11, 25-18.
Ashley Hill and Brooke Rogers each had 13 digs, with Rogers adding seven kills for Centennial. Alli Tatom put down 10 kills and seven blocks for the Bulldogs.
Stephanie Herman led the Panthers with 11 assists and six digs. Morgan Megown added 34 digs for Palo Verde.
Canyon Springs 3, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, Baylee Delgado dished out 13 assists as the Pioneers outlasted the Cowboys, 27-25, 25-16, 14-25, 16-25, 15-7.
Brittany Barkum and Emy Shea each added six kills for Canyon Springs.
JeNiece Morgan supplied nine kills, and Jadda Allen had seven kills for Chaparral.
Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Lenny Estrada tallied 34 digs and 15 kills, and Tiara Veal supplied 19 assists, five kills and three aces to help the Miners tame the Jaguars, 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.
Michelle Estella had 11 digs and four aces, and Jazzmin Avalos added six assists for Desert Pines.
Las Vegas 3, Rancho 0 — At Las Vegas High, Breanna Melton had 15 kills and 13 digs, and Desirae Lair tallied 13 kills and 13 digs to help the Wildcats to a 25-10, 25-14, 25-18 win over the Rams.
Tiffany Jackson supplied 31 assists, seven digs and two aces, and Nina White added 15 digs for the Wildcats.
Jordan Williams led Rancho with five blocks and three kills.
Eldorado 3, Valley 0 — At Eldorado, Candace Watkins had six kills, and Casey Bradshaw added six digs as the Sundevils swept the Vikings, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.
Lenore Porter had 15 assists, and Clarisa Herrera had eight kills for Valley.
Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Jenna Swaffer tallied 21 assists and 11 aces, and Taylor Seidler added nine digs and seven aces as the Gators whipped the Patriots, 25-7, 25-7, 25-8.
Carly Schiess spiked eight kills for Green Valley.
Jannine Romeo had 19 digs for Liberty.
Coronado 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Kuulei Piena racked up 15 kills and 10 digs as the Cougars breezed to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-19 win over the Dragons.
Katie Gamsky dished out 21 assists, and Kristen Herlosky added eight kills and seven digs for Coronado.
Desiree Orozco distributed 16 assists for Del Sol, which got seven digs from Kaleileihua Cabanas and five kills from Ashley Bjorlin.
Silverado 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Kayla Agae recorded 34 digs and 15 kills, and Marilyn Agae spiked 10 kills to propel the Skyhawks past the Falcons, 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.
Zoe Wolfenbarger led Foothill with 11 digs and seven kills.
Basic 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Wendy Williams’ 12 assists and seven aces helped the Wolves to a 25-16, 25-11, 25-20 win over the Roadrunners.
Tara Patchett added 10 kills for Basic.
Alevia Houston had six kills for Tech.
