ROUNDUP: Momodu steers Rams past Desert Pines
Aisha Momodu had 10 kills Wednesday to lead Rancho’s girls volleyball team to a 25-21, 16-25, 25-9, 25-15 win at Desert Pines.
Teyler Williams added nine kills, and teammate Alex Padilla had five aces and 15 assists for Rancho.
TaQuiyyah Boyles led Desert Pines with five kills and three blocks. Miranda Barry added 12 digs for the Jaguars.
Chaparral 3, Eldorado 0 — At Chaparral, Kendy Reynoso had seven kills and five aces to help the Cowboys to a 28-26, 25-18, 25-19 sweep of Eldorado.
Jessica Fadgen and Angie Gonzales each had four kills for Chaparral, with Fadgen also serving four aces.
Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Lenore Porter had 16 assists, five kills and three digs as Valley rolled to a 25-6, 25-15, 25-10 win over the Miners.
Krystal Herrington had seven kills and three blocks for Valley.
Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Desirea Lair had eight digs and seven aces as Las Vegas swept the Pioneers, 25-12, 25-11, 25-13.
Natresha Bernard had eight kills for Las Vegas. Danica Pickett added nine digs and three kills, and Loren Acluba had five digs and four aces for the Wildcats.
Silverado 3, Liberty 0— At Liberty, Kayla Agae tallied 20 digs, 11 kills and three aces, and Madison Harper added six kills as the Skyhawks downed the Patriots 25-8, 25-10, 25-10.
Amanda Delgado recorded 20 digs, four blocks and three kills, and Phoebe Baker supplied 11 digs and two kills for Liberty.
Foothill 3, Basic 0 — At Foothill, the Falcons cruised to an easy 25-12, 25-13, 25-19 home win over the Wolves.
Tara Patchett had six kills and Mercedes James five kills for the Wolves.
Coronado 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Kristen Herlosky had nine kills and five aces, and Courtney Comito added five aces and six digs to lead Coronado to a 25-13, 25-11, 25-13 road win over Tech.
Hannah Safford contributed six kills and Tianna Tuamoheloa added five aces for Coronado.
Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Jena Chavez had 18 assists and seven aces as Green Valley swept the Dragons, 25-11, 25-7, 25-22.
Siga Appelgate added 15 kills and Alexa Drost 11 digs for the Gators.
Natalie Korzenowski had five kills and six digs for the Dragons.
Sandy Valley 2, Adelson School 1— At Adelson School, the visiting Sidewinders beat the Lions 25-18, 20-25, 25-17.
Allison Wessells and Morgan Goodelman each had two aces for Adelson.
