VOLLEYBALL: Chargers earn road win over Trojans

Emi Atanoa had 17 kills, and Angel Jamerson dished out 31 assists Monday to help Clark’s girls volleyball team to a 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 25-22 win at Pahrump Valley.

Victoria Gordon had nine kills for the Chargers.

Payton Hart had 11 kills, and Bryanna Soliwoda added 14 assists for Pahrump, which got four blocks from Makayla Davis and four kills from Jillian Smith.

Western 3, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Destiny Gonzalez had five kills, six blocks, four aces and four digs to help the Warriors to a 25-23, 16-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-13 win over the Desert Shields.

Paea Sovou had two kills, 10 aces and five assists, and Yatzi Carranza contributed four kills, three blocks and two aces for Western.

Endia Mack had 12 kills and seven aces, and teammate Bria Buchanan supplied 14 kills and nine blocks for Cheyenne, which got 28 assists from Ebony Cavaco.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Charlai Francis had 10 kills and six blocks, and Haley Lockley added five kills, six digs and 10 assists as the Wildcats swept the Vikings, 25-14, 25-20, 25-6.

Shaleea Butler recorded 10 digs, and Christy Gesell had seven digs with two aces for the Wildcats.

Corrine Burton who had four kills, and Liza Aperacho served two aces for Valley, which got 11 digs from JeCori Gladney.

Centennial 3, Bonanza 0 — At Centennial, Tiana Bonds had 11 kills, and Kristi Farley added five kills, 25 assists and two aces as the Bulldogs beat the Bengals, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

Madison Harper had 10 digs and three aces for Centennial.

Sophie Cram had 13 kills, and Hailey Huntsman had 20 assists and four aces for Bonanza, which got 12 digs from Ellyn Hirabayashi.

Legacy 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Emily Valerio had three kills, four aces and 25 assists to lead the Longhorns to victory over the Diamondbacks, 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

Saipeti Fuiava added 11 kills and seven digs, and Ashly Goor had seven kills and four digs for Legacy. Danielle Dennewitz had 13 digs for the Longhorns.

Green Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Rancho, Nikki Drost had 15 kills and two aces, and Shanna Olsen had 14 kills to help the Gators to a 25-14, 25-17, 25-16 win over the Rams.

Bridgette Dwyer added six kills and three digs, and Alley Seidler had 33 assists for Green Valley.

Danielle Carino had eight kills to lead Rancho. Kayla Coles added five kills and two blocks, and Monet Wilson had nine assists for the Rams, who got eight assists from Sharisse Nagatori.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, Morgan Little had five aces and 16 assists to lead the Skyhawks over the Pioneers, 25-3, 25-15, 25-21.

Melanie Srok had eight kills, and Amari Norris added three kills for Silverado, which got five aces from Lauren Purdy.

Maureen Talice had three kills, and Karina Cavada added three assists for Canyon Springs.

Bishop Gorman 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Emma Filosi had 11 assists, and Emma Kirst had six kills as the Gaels swept the Spartans, 25-11, 25-7, 25-11.

Francesca Manza added four kills for Gorman, and Victoria Harris had three kills for the Gaels.

Zaquae Downton had three kills for the Spartans, and teammate Emily Bennett added five digs.

Sierra Vista 3, Boulder City 2 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions rallied to defeat Boulder City, 25-21, 21-25, 11-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Sandy Valley 3, Liberty Baptist 1 — At Sandy Valley, the Sidewinders were 25-15, 23-25, 25-18, 25-17 winners over the Eagles.

Bishop Gorman, Centennial reach 5A state volleyball final

Bishop Gorman dismissed Reno in three sets before Centennial survived a five-setter against Bishop Manogue to set up an All-Southern championship match.

Gorman sweeps Centennial for regional girls volleyball crown

Bishop Gorman won its fifth straight regional championship with a three-set win over Centennial. Both teams will play in the state tournament next week.
