VOLLEYBALL: Crusaders outlast Mountain Lions

Cayla Nikodemus had 25 kills, and Megan Kronschnabel added 53 assists and five digs Tuesday to help Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team rally for a 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 15-8 win at Sierra Vista.

Morgan Hill had 10 kills and six digs, and Bobbi Tharaldson had seven digs and two aces for the Crusaders.

Bailey Bergquist had 21 kills, 22 digs and five aces, and Sydney Land added 15 kills, five blocks and four digs for the Mountain Lions.

Bonanza 3, Arbor View 2 — At Bonanza, Sophie Cram had 18 kills, 14 digs and three blocks to lead the Bengals to a 16-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory over the Aggies.

Claire Goodsell added 32 digs and three aces, and teammate Hayley Huntsman had 13 kills, 29 assists and 17 digs for the Bengals.

Hannah Goddard led Arbor View with 18 kills and two aces. Sarah Goddard added 14 kills, and Trinity Chen had three kills, six aces and two blocks for the Aggies.

Spring Valley 3, Pahrump Valley 2 — At Pahrump, Jessica Rafay had 15 kills and 11 assists as the Grizzlies outlasted the Trojans, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Courtney Lance had nine kills, and Danielle Amonica added nine assists for Spring Valley.

Lauren Koenig had nine kills, and Koral Hearn added seven kills for Pahrump, which got 23 assists from Jill Smith and 12 digs from Alyssa Murphy.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Carissa Limtiaco had 14 kills and 12 digs to help the Rattlers to a 25-13, 29-31, 25-16, 25-14 win over the Desert Shields.

Sierra Cummings had 42 digs and four aces, and Alyson Peterson added nine kills for Mojave, which got seven blocks from Shyanne Orton.

Bria Buchanan had 13 kills and eight blocks, and Esther Durr added eight kills and eight blocks for Cheyenne.

Clark 3, Western 0 — At Clark, Angel Jamerson had nine assists, six kills and six aces to propel the Chargers to a 25-11, 25-11, 25-21 victory over the Warriors.

Alice Afualo added six aces for Clark.

Ada Alfaro had 12 assists, and teammate Chaya Jordan had five kills for Western.

Centennial 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Centennial, Gabrielle Neuman had 17 assists and nine digs to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-23, 25-13, 25-19 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Bailey Anderson added 11 kills and nine digs, and Deven Vieira had five kills for Centennial.

Ariel Blockovich had 17 assists and 11 digs, and Lauren Rios contributed 18 digs and seven kills to lead Desert Oasis.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Emily Bennett had 12 digs and two kills to lead the Spartans to a 25-20, 25-23, 25-21 victory over the Cowboys.

Zaquae Downton added seven digs, four kills and an ace for Cimarron.

Monique Long had eight digs, six kills and three aces to lead Chaparral, and teammate Moriah Allen had five kills and three aces.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Lexia Brockett had 20 assists and six digs to lead the Wildcats to a 25-10, 25-9, 25-9 sweep of the Vikings.

Aileen Morales had eight kills, and Tajanae Davis added seven kills for Las Vegas, which got nine digs from Samantha Remer.

Brittanie Jordan had four kills and three digs, and Patricia Choi had 10 digs for Valley.

Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Sydney Berenyi had 18 kills and four aces to power the Skyhawks to a 25-23, 25-22, 25-20 victory over the Patriots.

Cyrene Solomon added 28 assists, and Mariah Morris had four kills for Silverado.

Lisa Tauala led Liberty with seven kills and six blocks.

Morgan Husli added 23 assists, seven digs, two kills and two aces for the Patriots, who also got strong defensive contributions from Erika Martinez (29 digs) and Camren Kyle (26 digs).

Calvary Chapel 3, Boulder City 1 — At Boulder City, Alexis Harris had 10 kills to help the Lions down the Eagles, 25-21, 21-25, 25-12, 25-17.

Noelle Miller and Olivia Kaiser each had five kills for Calvary Chapel.

The Meadows 3, Bishop Gorman JV 1 — At The Meadows, Dani Otter had 26 digs, 18 kills and five blocks to help the Mustangs beat the Gaels, 25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20.

Brooke Brennan had 18 digs, 16 kills, four aces, two blocks, and Missy Siegel added 32 assists and 13 digs for The Meadows. Alex Rimoldi had 21 digs, nine kills, three blocks, and Hannah Mulholland contributed nine digs, four kills, three aces for the Mustangs.

Lake Mead 2-2, Needles 1-0 — At Needles, Calif., Rachael Watkins had 26 assists and seven aces to lead the Eagles to a pair of wins over the Mustangs, 25-7, 23-25, 15-6 and 25-11, 25-13.

Jenette Hensley had 15 kills, 11 digs and seven aces, and Jillian Morejon added 20 digs for Lake Mead.

Indian Springs 3, Adelson School 1 — At Adelson School, the Thunderbirds downed the Lions, 25-13, 25-17, 16-25, 25-16.
