VOLLEYBALL: Goddard, Aggies beat Bonanza, claim Northwest title

Hannah Goddard had 22 kills and five aces Wednesday to help Arbor View's girls volleyball team clinch its second consecutive Northwest League title with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-10 sweep of host Bonanza.

Sarah Goddard added 11 kills and two aces, and teammate Alyson Jeeves had 42 assists and seven aces for the Aggies.

Hayley Huntsman led the Bengals with four kills, nine assists and seven digs. Jaycie Johnson added four kills for Bonanza, which got eight digs from Sydney Dunn.

Clark 3, Cheyenne 2 — At Clark, Angel Jamerson had 12 kills, 28 assists, five aces and 16 digs, and Lindsey Folkerts added 11 kills and four blocks to lead the Chargers to a 28-26, 18-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-7 win over the Desert Shields.

Alexandria Brown had 10 kills, three aces and three digs, and teammate Oneyda Rodriguez had two kills, three digs and three blocks for Clark. Jasmyn Ozaki had three kills and three digs for the Chargers.

Kai Lee Keomaka put down nine kills for Cheyenne, and teammate Danaye Zaragoza contributed 14 assists and six aces.

Silverado 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Sydney Berenyi had 26 kills, 10 digs and two aces as the Skyhawks beat the Patriots, 24-26, 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

Tehani Faitau had 39 assists, six digs and four kills for Silverado, and teammate Kaylynn Smith added 10 digs.

Maggie Heim had six kills and two aces to lead Liberty. Tiffany Watkins had five kills and two blocks for the Patriots.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Megan Kronschnabel had 40 assists and seven digs in the Crusaders' 25-13, 25-12, 25-19 win over the Trojans.

Logan Van Reken had 15 digs, and teammate Bobbi Tharaldson supplied 13 kills for Faith Lutheran, which got 20 kills from Elizabeth Tuls.

Jill Smith had 14 assists and 10 digs, and teammate Lauren Ashford provided seven digs for Pahrump.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Sierra Vista, Faith Gray-Williams had 24 assists to lead the Mountain Lions to a 27-25, 25-22, 25-10 sweep of the Grizzlies.

Cheyenne Alvarez had 11 digs, and teammate Shantalle Demirjian added seven kills for Sierra Vista.

Jessica Rafay supplied seven digs and six kills to lead Spring Valley. Taylor Wightman had eight digs for the Grizzlies, who got five assists from Danielle Amonica.

Las Vegas 3, Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Lexia Brockett had 23 assists, and Aileen Morales added 10 kills to help the Wildcats sweep the Vikings, 25-10, 25-11, 25-11.

Tajanae Davis added four kills for Las Vegas.

Valley's Amanda Manresa had 20 digs, and Juleanna Tella added five kills for the Vikings.

Mojave 3, Western 0 — At Mojave, Carissa Limtiaco had 13 digs, 10 kills and four aces, and Sua Estrada added 17 assists and five aces to help the Rattlers overpower the Warriors, 25-15, 25-19, 25-13.

Michelle Hernandez notched 10 digs, Leilani Limtiaco added nine digs and Shayanne Orton supplied seven kills for Mojave.

Centennial 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Centennial, Kiana Falefitu notched two kills, nine aces and two blocks to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-7, 25-9, 25-13 vicory over the Diamondbacks.

Kjersten Saunders had five kills, nine digs and two aces, and teammate Gabrielle Neuman added three kills, 11 assists, three aces and three digs.

Lauren Price added seven digs for the Bulldogs.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Cimarron, Logan DeLong had seven kills, 15 assists and four aces, and Addison Dolan added seven kills and two aces to power the Spartans to a 25-13, 26-24, 25-8 win over the Pioneers.

Alondra Estrada served seven aces, and Alyssa Karpinski added seven kills for Cimarron, which also got six aces and 10 digs from Alex Payan.

Adelson School 3, Quest Academy 0 — At Adelson, Crystil Wood and Shoshana Wexler each had three kills and two blocks to help the Lions to a 25-23, 25-12, 25-11 sweep of the Knights.

Samantha Spooner had eight assists for Adelson.

The Meadows 2-2, Lake Mead 0-0 — At The Meadows, the Mustangs swept the Eagles, 25-12, 25-22 and 25-12, 25-9.

Jenette Hensley led Lake Mead with a toal of 17 digs, and teammate Rachael Watkins had 18 assists. Josey White added eight kills for Lake Mead.
