VOLLEYBALL: Lions sweep two matches at Needles

Brooke Davis had 16 assists in the opener and 14 assists, three kills and three digs in the nightcap Friday to help Calvary Chapel's girls volleyball team sweep host Needles, 25-9, 25-16 and 25-10, 25-20.

Deja Harris had nine kills and two blocks in the first match and 10 kills in the finale, and Jamie Mejia added five kills in the opener and four kills in the nightcap for Calvary Chapel. Alexis Harris supplied four kills in the first match and three kills in the second match for the Lions.

Mountain View 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At Mountain View, Aariel Armstrong had six kills and six aces, and Lindsay Kessler added nine kills and four aces to help the Saints sweep the Stars, 25-17, 25-9 and 25-11, 25-18.

Lincoln County 2, Moapa Valley 0 — At Boulder City, Chesnee Harding and Kaitlin Cheeney each had four assists as the Lynx beat the Pirates 25-18, 25-21 in the Boulder City Invitational.

Hannah Hafen added three blocks for Lincoln County.

Lincoln County 2, Desert Oasis 0 — At Boulder City, Cheeney had three assists and three aces, and Kayla Mathews spiked six kills to lead the Lynx by the Diamondbacks 25-20, 25-23 in the Boulder City Invitational.

Harding had six assists, and Kaylee Teel added three digs and two kills for Lincoln County.

Lincoln County 2, Rancho 1 — At Boulder City, Harding and Cheeney each had five assists, and the Lynx outlasted the Rams 25-18, 21-25, 15-11 in the Boulder City Invitational.

Hafen had three blocks and two kills, and Teel and Chelsea Lloyd each supplied two aces and two kills for Lincoln County.

Coronado 2, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Green Valley, the Cougars were 25-20, 25-23 winners over the Crusaders in the Durango Fall Classic.

Cayla Nikodemus had nine kills and seven digs, and Megan Panikkar added 10 assists for Faith Lutheran.

Saint Lucy’s (Calif.) 2, Faith Lutheran 0 — At Green Valley, the Regents were 25-15, 25-14 winners over the Crusaders in the Durango Fall Classic.

Nikodemus had five kills for Faith Lutheran.

Lake Mead 2, Del Sol 1 — At Boulder City, Shannon Regan had eight kills, and Rachael Watkins added 17 assists as the Eagles topped the Dragons 22-25, 25-20, 15-8 in the Boulder City Invitational.

Jenette Hensley had three kills and 11 digs, and Andrea Doto served five aces for Lake Mead.

Pahrump Valley 2, Lake Mead 0 — At Boulder City, the Trojans were 25-21, 25-13 winners over the Eagles in the Boulder City Invitational.

Hensley had 10 digs, and Regan and Natalie Jankowski each had four kills for Lake Mead.

Basic 2, Lake Mead 0 — At Boulder City, the Wolves posted a 25-21, 25-14 win over the Eagles in the Boulder City Invitational.

Watkins had 12 assists and five digs, and Taylor Webb provided 13 digs and two kills for Lake Mead, which got eight kills and two blocks from Regan.
