VOLLEYBALL: McClure, Aggies top Spartans in four

Jenna McClure finished with 29 assists and seven aces Tuesday to help Arbor View’s girls volleyball team to a 23-25, 25-10, 25-14, 25-13 victory over Cimarron-Memorial.

Karli Beas had six aces and 13 digs, and Sofia Valenzuela added two kills and two blocks for the Aggies.

Zaquae Downton supplied seven kills and 12 digs for the Spartans, while teammate Sharon Reyes had 18 digs.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Hayley Huntsman had 22 assists, six kills and four aces, and Claire Goodsell tallied 15 kills and three digs as the Bengals beat the Diamondbacks, 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.

Sophie Cram added 17 kills for Bonanza.

Ariel Blockovich recorded 12 aces, six digs and two kills, and Alex Blockovich had eight digs for Desert Oasis. Teammate Cassie Chesler finished with four kills.

Liberty 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Morgan Hulsi logged 31 assists, four digs and three aces to lead the Patriots past the Vikings, 25-14, 25-16, 25-16.

Tiffany Watkins (six kills, three digs), Lisa Tauala (six kills, six blocks) and Erika Martinez (10 digs, two aces) also contributed for Liberty.

Patricia Choi led Valley with 12 digs. Teammate Corinne Burton added six kills and four blocks, and JeCori Gladney had five kills and four assists.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, Sydney Berenyi had six kills, and Mackenzie Carter added five kills and five aces in the Skyhawks’ 25-6, 25-11, 25-13 sweep of the Pioneers.

Cyrene Solomon dished out 15 assists for Silverado.

Tea Rivera finished with three kills and three assists, and Maureen Talice supplied three kills and one block for Canyon Springs.

Sierra Vista 3, Mojave 0 — At Sierra Vista, Kira Felise tallied 23 assists, three kills and two digs to help the Mountain Lions sweep the Rattlers, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.

Sydney Land added nine kills and three digs for Sierra Vista.

RayEna Rael led Mojave with 20 assists, 12 digs and three aces, and teammate Shyanne Orton supplied eight kills and three blocks.

Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Megan Kronschnabel dished out 22 assists to lead the Crusaders to a 25-12, 25-13, 25-10 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Cayla Nikodemus supplied nine kills and five digs, and Jordyn Dunseath added seven kills for Faith Lutheran.

Charity Poulsen had eight digs, and Bria Buchanan tallied three blocks and three kills for Cheyenne.

Spring Valley 3, Western 0 — At Western, Jessica Rafay notched 10 assists and seven kills, and Danielle Amonica had 13 assists and eight aces as the Grizzlies swept the Warriors 25-15, 25-18, 25-8.

Danielle Lopez added five kills for Spring Valley.

Destiny Gonzalez had six kills for Western, while teammates Capricia Pierce and Chaya Jordan each added two kills.

Pahrump Valley 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Jill Smith had four assists and three blocks, and Andi Bishop supplied four kills to help the Trojans sweep the Chargers, 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Angel Jamerson had 20 assists and Alice Afualo six kills for Clark.

Lake Mead 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Lake Mead, the Eagles swept the Cougars 25-13, 25-18 and 25-17, 25-19.

Rachel Watkins led Lake Mead with a total of 19 assists, 10 digs and nine aces in the two matches. Jenette Hensley totaled six kills and seven aces, and Natalie Jankowski finished with six kills and four aces for the Eagles.
