VOLLEYBALL: Srok, Skyhawks hold off Rams

Melanie Srok had 13 kills, and Amari Norris added seven kills and six blocks Wednesday to help Silverado’s girls volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21 win at Rancho.

Morgan Little had 16 assists, and Lauren Purdy supplied six kills and five blocks for the Skyhawks, who got six kills from Mackenzie Carter.

Miyah Wilson had nine kills and 11 digs to lead the Rams. Sharisse Nagatori added 10 assists and seven digs, and Anna Vazquez had 19 digs for Rancho.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 2 — At Valley, Gabby Cabanero had 16 kills, eight digs and three aces as the Vikings rallied for a 23-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-12, 15-13 win over the Pioneers.

Corinne Burton added 10 kills and three blocks, and Taylor Sandhu had 36 assists, two aces and five digs for Valley, which got 11 digs from Liza Aperacho.

Maureen Talice had six kills, two blocks and two aces, and Tea Rivera contributed nine assists and four digs for Canyon Springs. Sydney Morris added seven kills for the Pioneers.

Arbor View 3, Sierra Vista 1 — At Arbor View, Tamani Simmons had 18 kills, and Jenna McClure added 39 assists and seven aces as the Aggies topped the Mountain Lions, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Hannah Goddard had eight kills and 12 aces, and Karli Beas supplied 21 digs and two aces for Arbor View.

Bailey Bergquist had 12 kills and 20 digs, and teammate Kira Felise added 29 assists and six digs for Sierra Vista. Maeganne Cabias had 25 digs for the Mountain Lions.

Bonanza 3, Legacy 0 — At Bonanza, Sophie Cram had 11 kills and three aces, and Hailey Huntsman added 20 assists and two aces as the Bengals swept the Longhorns, 25-12, 25-17, 25-13.

Sammie Spelman contributed eight kills and eight digs for Bonanza.

Legacy’s Ashly Goor had four kills and five digs, and Ashley Smoot added four kills for the Longhorns.

Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump, Megan Kronschanbel had 14 assists, nine digs and four aces, and Morgan Hill added nine kills and four blocks as the Crusaders swept the Trojans 25-7, 25-10, 25-22.

Megan Panikkar served 12 aces, and teammate Cayla Nikodemus had 10 kills for Faith Lutheran. Nicole Thompson had eight digs for the Crusaders.

Makayla Davis had six blocks, Payton Hart had five kills, and Bryana Soliwada supplied four aces for Pahrump.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas, Nikki Drost had 11 kills, nine digs and three blocks, and Shanna Olsen and Bridgette Dwyer each had 10 kills to lead the Gators to a 25-18, 25-22, 25-8 win over the Wildcats.

Carlee Becker had 29 assists and seven digs, and Amanda Lake had nine blocks for Green Valley.

Matti Ventling led Las Vegas with 15 assists. Shaleea Butler added six kills and nine digs, and teammate Cierra Turner had 14 digs for the Wildcats.

Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Olivia Denny had 37 assists, and Ashley Smith added 22 kills to help the Mustangs sweep the Trailblazers, 25-19, 25-12, 25-15.

Kat Jaksic had three blocks and two kills for Durango.

Clark 3, Western 0 — At Clark, Emi Atanoa had 14 kills to help the Chargers to a 29-27, 25-21, 25-16 win over the Warriors.

Victoria Gordon had five kills, and Anna Zhang added four kills for Clark.

Destiny Gonzalez paced Western with eight kills and four blocks. Paea Sovou added six assists and three aces, and Capricia Pierce had five kills and three digs for the Warriors.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Mojave, Ashley Persico had nine kills and nine digs in a 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 win over the Desert Shields.

Pamela Martin added eight kills and four aces for the Rattlers, who got four kills and four blocks from Keyah Hall.

Desert Oasis 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, the Diamondbacks posted a 25-19, 25-19, 25-14 win over the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Priscilla Bennett had 22 assists, and Zaquae Downton added four kills and three aces for the Spartans.

Calvary Chapel 3, Lake Mead 0 — At Lake Mead, Deja Harris had 13 kills, and Brooke Davis added 22 assists and three kills as the Lions completed a perfect Division III Southern League season by downing the Eagles, 25-20, 25-15, 25-9.

Alexis Harris had six kills and five digs, and Noelle Miller supplied three kills and four digs for Calvary Chapel.

Savannah Schmidt had three kills, three aces and six digs, and Rachael Watkins added eight assists and five digs for Lake Mead. Jennette Hensley had 11 digs, and Shannon Regan added four kills for the Eagles.

Beatty 3, Adelson School 1 — At Adelson School, the Hornets rallied for a 19-25, 25-4, 25-22, 25-12 win over the Lions.

Sandy Valley 3, Word of Life 0 — At Sandy Valley, the Sidewinders posted a 25-10, 25-11, 25-13 win over the Eagles.
