VOLLEYBALL: Trojans rally to top Grizzlies

Jill Smith had 29 assists, and Lauren Koenig and Koral Hearn each had seven kills to help Pahrump Valley's girls volleyball team rally for a 19-25, 18-25, 26-24, 25-20, 15-7 win at Spring Valley on Wednesday.

Lauren Ashford had 26 digs for the Trojans.

Jessica Rafay had 13 kills and 20 assists to lead the Grizzlies. Danielle Amonica added 13 kills and 14 assists for Spring Valley, which got 13 digs from Taylor Wightman.

Arbor View 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Arbor View, Alyson Jeeves had 30 assists to lead the Aggies by the Spartans, 25-15, 25-11, 25-7.

Sofia Valenzuela put down four kills, and teammate Alyssa Jeeves had seven digs for Arbor View.

Logan DeLong led Cimarron-Memorial with eight kills, and Alex Payan notched six digs for the Spartans.

Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Chianna Rodriguez had 14 digs to guide the Bengals to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-16 win over the Diamondbacks.

Bonanza's Alexa Rodriguez had eight digs, and Jaycie Johnson added six kills for the Bengals.

Laityn Sarna had 17 assists for Desert Oasis. Casedy Field notched six digs, and teammate Kaia Rhodes supplied four kills for the Diamondbacks.

Liberty 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Tiffany Watkins had 11 kills, 10 aces and five digs to lead the Patriots over the Vikings, 25-15, 25-8, 25-16.

Maggie Heim put down nine kills, and Rianna Baliza added six digs for Liberty.

Kyla King led Valley with 10 digs and two kills, and teammate Angel Go added 11 digs. Amanda Manresa had eight digs, and Michelle Burkhalter recorded three blocks for the Vikings.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, Tehani Faitau supplied 24 assists and six digs in the Skyhawks' 25-7, 25-3, 25-3 sweep of the Pioneers.

Sydney Berenyi added 18 kills, and Emma Wenthe had 14 digs for Silverado, which got five kills from Kui Untalan.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Mojave, Sua Estrada had 23 assists, five aces and four digs in the Rattlers' 25-17, 25-19, 25-16 sweep of the Desert Shields.

Leilani Limtiaco had eight digs and five kills, and Carissa Limtiaco added eight kills for Mojave, which also got six kills from Shayanne Orton.

Kai Lee Keomaka had nine kills, and teammate Karina Toro served five aces to pace Cheyenne.

Western 3, Clark 0 — At Western, Nicole Riggs had 21 assists and nine aces to power the Warriors to a 25-22, 26-24, 25-16 victory over the Chargers.

Destiny Gonzalez added 11 kills, and teammate Ciara Brice added four digs and four kills for Western.

Lexi Spilsbury led Clark with 10 digs. Alexandria Brown had eight digs, and Tearra Camacho notched seven digs for the Chargers, who also got five digs from Angel Jamerson.

Faith Lutheran 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Megan Kronschnabel had 27 assists, three aces and six digs as the Crusaders swept the Mountain Lions, 25-17, 25-19, 25-11.

Bobbi Tharaldson had 11 kills and six digs, and Elizabeth Tuls added six kills and two blocks for Faith Lutheran.
