VOLLEYBALL: Vikings rally to top Diamondbacks

Gabby Cabanero had 17 kills, nine digs, and three aces Monday as Valley’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 17-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 16-14 victory over visiting Desert Oasis.

Taylor Sandhu added 28 assists, eight digs and two kills, and Corinne Burton supplied seven kills and four blocks for the Vikings, who got 17 digs and two aces from Liza Aperacho.

Rancho 3, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Kayla Coles had six kills and five aces, and Danielle Carino added three kills and five aces to lead the Rams to a 25-17, 25-10, 25-19 sweep of the Sundevils.

Monet Wilson added 10 assists and four digs, and Sharisse Nagatori had eight assists and three digs for Rancho.

Dakota Coombs had nine assists, and Angela Stoneback added five kills and nine digs for Eldorado, which got eight digs from Anya Olsen.

Bonanza 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Hailey Huntsman had 15 digs and 16 assists to help the Bengals to a 25-22, 25-22, 25-14 win over the Mountain Lions.

Sophie Cram had 14 kills, and Sammie Spelman served four aces for Bonanza.

Bailey Bergquist paced Sierra Vista with seven kills.

Durango 3, Western 0 — At Durango, Precious Williams served nine aces in the Trailblazers’ 25-21, 25-13, 25-14 win over the Warriors.

Carly Taylor had 25 assists and four aces, and Trae Ortega supplied eight kills for Durango.

Destiny Gonzalez had six kills and four blocks to pace Western.

Clark 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, the Chargers were 21-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-16 winners over the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Emily Bennett had five kills and six digs, and teammate Priscilla Bennett added four kills and 14 assists.

Mojave 3, Tech 0 — At Mojave, Rayena Rael served nine aces, and Jazmine Harris added seven aces and 17 digs as the Rattlers swept the Roadrunners, 25-12, 25-18, 25-17.

Pamela Martin had 10 kills and three blocks, and Keyah Hall supplied four kills and four blocks for Mojave.
