ROUNDUP: Clark tops Bishop Gorman in wrestling
Rogelio Reynoso and Eduardo Callega each recorded pins in less than a minute on Thursday to lead Clark’s wrestling team to a 49-29 home win over Bishop Gorman.
Reynoso won his 189-pound match in 48 seconds. Callega won the 135-pound match in 58 seconds.
Clark 54, Desert Oasis 23 — At Clark, the Chargers had three pins and won four matches by forfeit to down the Diamondbacks.
Jakob Payton had the quickest pin, winning in 55 seconds at 130 pounds for Clark.
Sierra Vista 42, Bonanza 22 — At Bonanza, Corey Stimach (119), Victor Torres (140) and P.J Chavira (145) picked up pins for the Mountain Lions in their win over the Bengals.
Two forfeits also helped Sierra Vista.
Bonanza 46, Spring Valley 21 — At Bonanza, the Bengals used five pins and two major decisions to rout the Grizzlies.
Bonanza got pins from Billy Wosik (112), Colton Ralphs (119), Colton Bowler (130), Shaun Kinney (140) and Stuart Montenegro (160). Major decisions came from Mike Zellner (103) and Seth Clucas (135).
Liberty 64, Del Sol 6 — At Liberty, the Patriots rolled behind pins from Donald Watts (119), Kyle Watanabe (145), D.J. Morgan (152), Evan Moss (160), Alberto Lopez (171) and Carlos Tautoto (215).
Las Vegas 78, Eldorado 5 — At Las Vegas, the Wildcats won 11 matches by forfeit to roll to the victory.
Las Vegas got pins from De’Armon Hall (112) and Johnathan Hales (171).
Las Vegas 73, Valley 3 — At Las Vegas, the Wildcats won six matches by forfeit.
