WRESTLING: Centennial rides four pins to win over Las Vegas

Centennial’s wrestling team recorded four pins on Wednesday on the way to a 39-36 road win over Las Vegas High.

Hunter Brown (220 pounds) and Roger Alvarado (285) recorded first-period pins to lead the Bulldogs. Ryan Pierce (106) and Earl Teopaco (132) also won by fall for Centennial.

Jacob Littlefield (170) and Jaeson Caday (120) won by pin for Las Vegas.

Las Vegas 67, Eldorado 9 — At Las Vegas, Littlefield won by pin in 4 minutes, 42 seconds to help the Wildcats roll past the Sundevils.

Nicholas Sablan (113), Christian Perez (126), Devin Gallegos (145), Daren Stewart (152), Jacob Lopez (160) and Michael Cavada (182) also had pins for Las Vegas.

Eldorado’s Reydin Dennis won by fall at 285.

Las Vegas 65, Basic 6 — Littlefield again won by pin, this time in 1:02, to help the Wildcats rout the Wolves.

Javier Duran (106), Perez (126), Jesus Reyes (138), Sergio Sanchez (145), Antonio Jauregui (160) and Jacob Anderson (195) also won by pin for Las Vegas.

Western 54, Desert Oasis 26 — At Desert Oasis, Luis Lopez won by pin in 2:13 at 145 pounds as the Warriors defeated the Diamondbacks.

Daniel Zelaya (152) and Andrew Solis (182) also won by pin for Western, which recorded six pins in all and won three matches by forfeit.

Timothy Spaur (120) won by pin in 19 seconds for Desert Oasis, which also got victories by pin from Melvin Cravin (132) and Gabriel Irenze (160).

Boulder City 54, Desert Oasis 24 — At Desert Oasis, Brady Branscum (106) and Jackson Dunagan (220) each won by pin in 1:26 to lead the Eagles past the Diamondbacks.

Patrick Garvin (145), Dylan Viera (152), Thomas Prach (182) and Jack Rozycki (285) also won by pin for Boulder City.

Spaur, Cravin and Christian Montenegro (138) had pins for Desert Oasis.

Desert Oasis 45, Durango 27 — Spaur and Gabriel Irenze again won by pin as the Diamondbacks downed the Trailblazers.

Spaur needed only 46 seconds to win his match, while Irenze won in 3:19. Neland Cavazos (195) and Michael Irenze (220) also recorded pins for Desert Oasis.

Daniel Caswell (126) won by major decision for Durango, which won three other matches by pin.
